Red carpet, horse carriages, fairytale gowns, tuxedos and corsages—overall, an unforgettable night for junior kindergarten and kindergarten students attending the Prince William Academy's Fairytale Ball today.

Dr. Samia Harris, the Lake Ridge private school's founder and principal, said the students "will prove that they also know how to spell F-U-N, by dancing in their glamorous attire in front of their parents and sib-lings."

The night will begin with a red carpet entrance for students and parents, glamour shots will be taken, music will be playing and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

It will continue with a silent auction, dinner, performances by the students and parents and will traditionally end like a high school prom—with the crowning of the Fairytale king and queen of the night.

Marisa Barret, event coordinator, said each teacher has allotted 15 minutes daily to teach the students a few dance moves such as the salsa and fox trot.

The three-hour event will take place at 3480 Commission Court, Lake Ridge. The cost of $28 per adult and $16 per child and will include food and dance.

All proceeds will be used for technological advances and books for Prince William Academy.
