Prince William police reported the following incidents:
Dale City
• Eggs were thrown at a home early Wednesday morning. Police were called to the 5900 block of Plumwood Lane around 12:45 a.m. after the homeowner said he heard objects hitting the front of his house. Police found the eggs near the windows of the house. No one was injured and nothing was damaged.
• A house was shot at with BBs on New Years Day. Police were called to the 14700 block of Darbydale Avenue just after 7 p.m. Thursday after a woman inside the house said she heard a noise. The woman then found two of her windows shot out with a BB gun. No one was injured.
• A home in the 3300 block of Nadia Loop, near Potomac Mills, was burglarized Tuesday night. Two bags of new clothes, a flat screen television, a video camera, silver coins and designer glasses were stolen between 4:30 and 6 p.m. The stolen items were valued at $6,575. The robber got inside the house by forcing the door open.
• A video game system and a digital camera were stolen from an apartment in the 14300 block of Westway Lane. The incident happened between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday. There were no signs of forced entry.
Triangle
• A flat screen television, a CD player, jewelry, prescribed medications and three hunting knives were stolen from a home in the 18600 block of Amidon Avenue. The incident happened Tuesday between 6:15 and 8 p.m. There were no signs of forced entry.
Woodbridge
• A Dale City woman turned her back on two would-be robbers who demanded her purse Wednesday night. The assailants approached her around 8 p.m. in the 2500 block of Prince William Parkway. The 48-year-old woman refused and was knocked to the ground. When the two men still were unable to take her purse, they both left.
The men were described as two black males between 15 and 20 years old, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall, each 135 pounds, wearing a black jacket and a black scarf. The woman was not injured during the attempted robbery.
