MANASSAS, Va. (AP) _ Prince William County supervisor Frank Principi says he will propose that the county repeal a policy that directs police to check the citizenship or immigration status of criminal suspects they believe might be in the country unlawfully.

Principi is the first member of the board of supervisors to challenge the enforcement element of the county’s recent crackdown on illegal immigration. The crackdown was approved in October, when Principi was not on the board. The policy denies services to illegal immigrants.

Since the policy took effect in March, the county jail has become more crowded and police have asked for video cameras in patrol cars to protect officers from allegations of racial profiling.

Supervisors voted Tuesday to cut more than $3 million from the next budget that was to be allotted for the cameras and enforcement of the policy.

“This statement is false - you do not have to prove legal status to get a mortgage. All you need is a TIN number -which is given to illegal aliens.

Illegal aliens can indeed vote. If they obtained a VA driver’s license before the laws changed (based on 9-11), no proof of citzenship was required to get a driver’s license. All the person needed to do was check the box “US citizen,” and this gave them voting rights. “

Sorry, sister, your comments are the ones which are false.  When was the last time you applied for a mortgage without having to provide a copy of your driver’s license?  And did you happen to notice that when you renewed your license for the first time post 9/11, you had to provide a birth certificate?

What else have you got?

mdh3 being here illegally is a crime, therefore crime is high in woodbridge and neabsco. when someone lies to get a loan that is also a crime. when someone here illegally lies to get a loan that doubles it. when someone here illegally fails to pay their mortgage it leads to foreclosure.  go to any real estate website and you can find the data.  simple enough for you? p.s. the same lies that get you that house also get you that truck you’re driving.

“The law requires anyone applying for a mortgage to prove legal status, whether citizen or permanent resident.“

This statement is false - you do not have to prove legal status to get a mortgage. All you need is a TIN number -which is given to illegal aliens.

Illegal aliens can indeed vote. If they obtained a VA driver’s license before the laws changed (based on 9-11), no proof of citzenship was required to get a driver’s license. All the person needed to do was check the box “US citizen,“ and this gave them voting rights.

In the states that give driver’s licenses to illegal aliens, the same method applies.

This is why you hear the term “motor voter,“ because people can register to vote when they get a driver’s license.

Principi is a disgrace to this County and the legal residents and U.S. citizens who elected him into his office.

“plus they have to overcome the illegal voters as well”

Illegals can’t vote!  Your arguments might be more convincing had you taken Civics 101.

“So,let me get this right,he’s opposing our county enforcing the Law?“

Actually, you don’t have it ‘right’.  Principi as a member of the BOCS is responsible for proposing legislation he deems necessary.  That’s what the phrase “propose that the county repeal a policy” means.

“Or,possibly since this is National News in this issue with our county,he maybe, possibly, might be,could it be,he’s trying to get his name in the news and political attention? No,he wouldn’t do that, right?LOL”

Hey, it worked for Corey.

Mr. Bill’s argument has holes you could drive a truck through.

“if someone voted illegally for her”

Last I checked, only law-abiding citizens can vote, so there goes that part of your argument.

“the woodbridge and neabsco districts became crime central during the tenures of barg, jenkins, and connaughton.now those districts have the highest foreclosure rates because of it.“

Where is the data to back this claim?  And how does crime rate correlate to foreclosure rate?

“my parents had to be vetted just to get the right to apply for a loan;yet now the folks that complain that their being forced out lied to get their’s.“

The law requires anyone applying for a mortgage to prove legal status, whether citizen or permanent resident.

What else have you got?

mr principi is a disciple of ms.barg.so why should anyone be surprised when he takes this stance. ms.barg has ruined the cherry hill peninsula so her family can retire to florida. if someone voted illegally for her, so be it,more money for her.  the woodbridge and neabsco districts became crime central during the tenures of barg, jenkins, and connaughton.now those districts have the highest foreclosure rates because of it.  my parents had to be vetted just to get the right to apply for a loan;yet now the folks that complain that their being forced out lied to get their’s.

Finally, we have a real supervisor, this resolution is only making our lifes sad and poor, for the taxes are going up to raise the money to fund the law….answer this: if a person is detained for any reason, will get his legal status will be checked at the “ Adult Detention Center “ then why???
WHY ???? do we need to have police running around pretending to be ICE agents, shouldn’t we be more concerned about higher taxes at the current economic recession that we are facing?
or why dont we focus in ways that are productive to all of us????
GO AHEAD PRINCIPI>>>YOU HAVE MY SUPPORT

Unfortunately Mr. Principi lives in a district that is overrun by illegals, the other legal voters will have to give him the boot next time, plus they have to overcome the illegal voters as well, tough in such a nefarious district. Chris Cummings
