Three road work projects are causing major traffic backups in eastern Prince William County.
Work near the intersection of U.S. 1 and Va. 234 is backing up traffic heading southbound along U.S. 1 to River Ridge Boulevard in Woodbridge. It is also affecting traffic turning onto Va. 234 from U.S. 1 as well as traffic trying to get to U.S. 1 from Va. 234.
Further north along U.S. 1 where bridge construction continues over the Neabsco Creek near Cardinal Drive, northbound traffic slows substantially.
Along Dale Boulevard, road work at the intersection of Neabsco Mills Road, is causing substantial backup along Neabsco Mills for traffic trying to turn onto Dale Boulevard. Additionally, traffic along Dale Boulevard attempting to reach U.S. 1 is also near a standstill.

LOL Ziggi…a fine observation I must say. We will be able to blame Hilda Barg for many years too come w/ her 1960’s, everything is fine attitude. As for VDOT…PFFFT, there not happy unless they go out of thier way to blatently screw things up.

So why are they doing the roadwork at Rte 1 and Rte 234 the Friday and weekend that begins Thanksgiving week? Traffic is bad enough there without the roadwork. The sign says road 11/20 through 11/25. What are they thinking!

Another reason why they should do some road work at night.
