School closing times for Thanksgiving announced

Area children will get a head start on their Thanksgiving day celebrations as all Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park schools will dismiss early on Wednesday, Nov. 26.

All schools and school offices will be closed on Nov. 27 and 28.

County schools will also be closed from Dec. 22 to 31 for winter vacation.

On Nov. 26 schools will dismiss on the following schedule: Battlefield, Brentsville, and Stonewall Jackson high schools will dismiss at 10:35 a.m.; while Gar-Field, Potomac, Hylton, Forest Park, Osbourn Park, Freedom and Woodbridge high schools dismiss at 10:45 a.m.

Marstellar Middle School will dismiss at 11:20 a.m.; Potomac, Graham Park, Lake Ridge and Parkside middle schools dismiss at 11:25 a.m.; Benton, Godwin and Stonewall middle schools dismiss at 11:30 a.m.; and Beville, Rippon, Bull Run, Saunders, Fred Lynn, Gainesville and Woodbridge middle schools dismiss at 11:35 a.m.

Alvey Elementary School dismisses at 11:45 a.m.; Porter Traditional school dismisses at 11:55 a.m.; Kilby, Antietam, Lake Ridge, Springwoods, West Gate and Old Bridge elementary schools dismiss at noon; River Oaks will dismiss at 12:05 p.m.; Pennington Traditional School, King, Potomac View, Bel Air, Leesylvania, Rockledge, Belmont, Loch Lomond, Sinclair, Bristow Run, Marumsco Hills, McAuliffe, Sudley, Cedar Point, Minnieville, Swans Creek, Coles, Montclair, Triangle, Dale City, Tyler, Dumfries, Ellis, Neabsco, Victory, Washington-Reid, Featherstone, Occoquan, Fitzgerald, Gravely, Rosa Parks, Williams, Pattie, Penn and Kerrydale elementary schools dismiss at 12:15 p.m.; Henderson and Enterprise elementary schools will dismiss at 12:20 p.m.; Ashland, Bennett, Marshall, Mountain View, Mullen, Vaughan, Nokesville, Westridge, Glenkirk and Yorkshire elementary schools dismiss at 12:25 p.m.; Signal Hill dismisses at 12:30 p.m. and Buckland Mills dismisses at 12:35 p.m.

In Manassas, early dismissal times for students on Nov. 26 are 12:30 p.m. for high school and middle school and 1 p.m and 1:30 p.m. for elementary schools.

In Manassas Park schools, high school and middle school students will be released at 12:15 p.m. Manassas Park Elementary students are released at 12:50 a.m. and Cougar Elementary students are dismissed at 1:30 p.m.
