Town & Country Shoes of Gainesville conducted a "Shop for BARN Day" recently and hosted a Naot Shoe Trunk Show. A percentage of Town & Country Shoe's sales for the day were donated to Transitional Housing BARN Inc.

On the same day, more than 100 pairs of shoes were donated by Naot to BARN.

Debra Cormier Dunn, owner of Town & Country and Naot Shoes were so pleased with the support of the community and patrons that they plan to hold another trunk show and Shop for BARN Day in September.

Dunn, who has been a sponsor of other BARN fundraisers, said "I am proud that my support is helping the women in the BARN program obtain success and self-sufficiency."

Naot was founded in 1942 and the small shoe factory has grown to become one of the leading international manufacturers of comfort shoes which are carried by Town and Country, in the Virginia Gateway Center, 7356 Atlas Walk Way in Gainesville.

BARN is located in Bristow and provides homeless women and their children temporary housing, supportive services and programs such as counseling, life skills, case management, financial management, child development and education.

For more information on how to help BARN call Jennifer Wilkinson, development manager, at 703-369-1325.
