Two accidents within two miles of each other are causing delays on Interstate 95 north.
Police report the accidents, one at the 148 mile marker and the next at the 150, are south of the Dumfries exit.
Five vehicles were involved in one of the crashes that happened around 3:45 p.m., according to police reports.
Rescue crews said they do not know the extent of the injuries on the scene, but at least one person has been injured.
Virginia State Police are on the scene attempting to move the crashed vehicles from the roadway.
