HOV lanes operate on a holiday schedule this weekend

The High Occupancy Vehicle lanes will operate on a holiday schedule over the Fourth of July.
HOV restrictions will be in place on Thursday when the northboud lanes will be closed at 10 a.m. and southbound lanes will open, according to a Virginia Department of Transportation press release.
At 9 p.m. Thursday, the southbound lanes will close and northbound lanes will open, the release stated.
There will be no HOV restrictions on Friday.
The Interstate 66 Stringfellow and Monument HOV Gates will be closed Friday.
At 2 p.m. Friday, northbound HOV lanes will be closed and the southbound lanes will open.
The southbound lanes will be closed at 2 p.m. on Saturday when the northbound lanes will open, according to the release.
