Man killed in Sudley Road crash

A Manassas man has died after crashing his van on Va. 234 in the Sudley Springs area Wednesday morning.
The victim has been identified as a 65-year-old man from Manassas who was driving northbound on Va. 234 when his 1976 Dodge Van veered off of the road and hit an embankment, according to Erika Hernandez, with Prince William County police.
A preliminary investigation into the crash revealed the man may have had a medical condition that caused the crash.
The man was taken to Haymarket Medical Center and died shortly after arriving.
The accident happened just after 10 a.m. Wednesday and closed both lanes of the road, according to Hernandez.
A Loudoun County Sheriff’s Deputy who was the first on the scene of the accident said the man had suffered severe head injuries and had gone into cardiac arrest.
When Prince William County Fire and Rescue crews arrived on the scene they preformed CPR on the victim.
Police have released the name of the victim.
