The northbound lanes of U.S. 29 between Heathcote Boulevard and U.S. 55 will be closed from midnight Tuesday until 2 p.m.Wednesday while Virginia Department of Transportation crews demolish an old, unused bridge as part of the Interstate 66 widening project.
To detour around the project, southbound traffic on U.S. 29 will turn left at the traffic light at Heathcote Boulevard in order to use the interstate Ramp to return to U.S.29 south, according to a Virginia Department of Transportation press release.
The southbound lanes of U.S. 29, between Heathcote Boulevard and Va. 55, will be closed between midnight Thursday and 2p.m. Friday
