Even though it will be nice and warm next week, you might want to cast your thoughts back to ice and cold winds and the
Springfield interchange long enough to attend a public hearing on April 22.
The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a public forum Tuesday night in Springfield about the problems that arose during the Feb. 12 ice storm.
Commissioner David Ekern and district administrator Morteza Salehi will present a report on VDOT’s review of the problems at 6:30 p.m. at The Waterford, 6715 Commerce Street in Springfield. The public may sign up at the door to speak during the public comment portion beginning at 7:15.
You can find the details of Ekern’s report to the Commonwealth Transportation Board at:

And get more information by contacting VDOT’s Joan Morris at 703-383-2465 or emailing her at .
