These are some of the online reader reactions to a June 16 story about a decrease in the number of foreclosures and an increase in home sales in Prince William County.
So the market is getting better. The supporters of illegals have been preaching the current enforcement by the county would make the home sales market worse.
It looks as though those predictions were wrong. The enforcement of laws will never drive away good citizens.

Sounds to me like it has made things better. I know that the new neighbors that have recently purchased in my area are great legal people. Looks to me like it’s helping. Now if we can just get the
politicians to lower the taxes so the rest of us can stay and not foreclose, that would be great.

Are you two really saying that the resolution is mainly responsible for this recent uptick? That makes about as much sense as those who claimed that the resolution was responsible for the rash of
foreclosures in PWC.
There may be people moving here because of the resolution, just as there may be foreclosures caused by it. But if home sales went up, it’s most likely because the price of homes in PWC finally dipped
low enough to make people want to take the plunge. In other words, it’s the market.

Not all foreclosures are because of undocumented persons. A lot of them were just stupid people making stupid deals that they couldn’t afford. I just hope the market improves by 2011 when the BRAC
comes to Quantico and people need housing. I look forward to moving to Fairfax or Arlington Counties.

Looking at all the numbers tells the story. Not only did sales climb this year over last, but according to zillow.com my home actually went up in value for the first time in many many months. The housing
market for PWC will see rebound completely after we stop overdevelopment and we allow the homes on the market to cycle through. The only way PWC or any other area around Washington, D.C., will
completely fold is if the governor closes its doors.

Where’s the paper’s typical spin on this?
Couldn’t the editorial staff had made this into bad news in some way? Come on guys! You’re slacking!
