These are some of the online reader reactions to the July 20 letter to the editor by Suzie Eskelund, “A sarcastic thanks for clearing our community.” Read the letter at http://www.insidenova.com.
This letter is meant to inflame, and it is devoid of fact. This is just a 17-year old’s perception of what she believes is racism.
The fact is that our great nation has immigration laws — illegal aliens are violating the law. That is a fact.
Regardless of race, illegal aliens are willfully breaking the law.
In the Northern Virginia area, the majority of illegal aliens are from Mexico and Central American countries. That is also a fact (see ADC statistics).
The politically correct liberals try to make this about race, but it is about laws and the sovereignty of America.
This young lady is entitled to her opinion, and that is all it is — an opinion. I vehemently disagree with her and all the PC liberals who regularly post here.

The future is here already. This is the America that we want our children to enjoy: no bigotry, no hate, no prejudice. Instead, harmony and fructifying of diversity. Your letter is a testimony to the true
character of our county and nation. Thank you for educating our community!

I am always amazed at the naivety of our youth, and the abject arrogance and ignorance of the ways of the world.
Perhaps because she has lived so long in the warmth and comfort of her own privileged and pampered lifestyle, Ms Eskelund cannot understand or appreciate that much of this effort is designed to keep
her safe from the hundreds if not thousands of criminals in the illegal alien community.
Remember that many of these people broke the law with their first steps into our country — and will only continue to do so — but with increasing violence and contempt for our community and its citizens.

This letter made me happy. Thanks! I know young Suzie misses the legal v. illegal part, but she’s not missing the underlying racism she sees from a good chunk of our county.
Don’t worry Suzie. By the time you’re forty or fifty, most of the racists and homophobes in the area will be gone one way or another, and the world will undoubtedly be a better place. Trust me, PWC is
actually a better place now than when I was 17. Hang in there!

Suzie, sweetie, you are so lucky. You have the ability to spout inane drivel with no shred of life experience to base it upon. You have grown up in middle-class suburban Virginia, with indulgent parents to give you everything you have ever needed. Perhaps one day, you will grow up, see a bit of the world, and perhaps actually learn something more of reality than the socialist claptrap our liberal-led public schools have filled your head with. Perhaps you will be one of thousands of Americans who are victimized by one or more of the criminal illegal aliens who invade our nation every day. Perhaps you will live to see your children unable to gain college admission, or to find a job, because of preferences extended to them under misbegotten “affirmative action” policies. Perhaps you will see much of your tax dollars going to provide these illegal aliens and their offspring medical, social and employment services which they are NOT entitled to, instead of being spent on something useful like defense or even transportation.
There’s a reason why seventeen-year-old girls can’t vote yet, sweetie, and why no one with any sense or life experience cares anything about what they have to say. Run along back to the mall, now, and leave social policy to the adults who are equipped to handle it.

How dare we condemn other nations for human right violations when we violate the rights of these people? I know what you racists are going to say: illegals don’t have any rights, and it’s true, they don’t have any rights here in PWC.
so, what will be next in PWC? concentration camps? I always believed that only the Jewish people were victims of ethnic cleansing. I have to think twice.

Suzie, It is your opinion. I have found that many of the racists in this area cannot seperate fact from opinion, which is a 4th grade SOL skill. That should tell you something.
Keep staying involved. Today’s 17 year old will vote in the NOvember election. People seem to forget that.
