This is in response to a letter by Michael J. Schwartz, president of Prince William Health Systems, concerning merging our hospital with Inova Health Systems.

Robert T . Molleur’s March 18 diatribe against liberals’ “ irrational beliefs” was a classic.

I was astonished to come home and see in my mail a Prince William County school census.

Is there anyone who believes that Mark Aveni and his Right to Life troops are really concerned about women’s health in their veiled efforts to restrict access to the Manassas abortion clinic? 

After 9/11, Anne Graham Lotz, Billy Graham’s daughter said, “I would say also for several years now Americans in a sense have shaken their fist at God and said, God, we want you out of our schools, our government, our business, we want you out of our marketplace. And God, who is a gentleman, has just quietly backed out of our national and political life, our public life. Removing his hand of blessing and protection.” 

To say that I am appalled and upset at the article on March 1, listing PWC school salaries, is an understatement!

At present, the governor of Virginia is considering a bill requiring state contractors only to employee legal residents of the United States.

Most of the people we see as Hispanics, Latinos, immigrants and illegal aliens are, in fact, Americans native to the Americas.

Liberalism is based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions and in my perspective is a mental disorder.

I read the letter defending the spending of the school system and found them interesting.

Many parents are asking my opinion on the Math Investigations program.

I learned a valuable lesson in intolerance. Those who say they are against racism, intolerance, and sexism, may not necessarily believe in what they preach.

Almost nobody in Nokesville favors Prince William County’s plan to scrap the six-time school of excellence, Nokesville Elementary School, and construct an enormous elementary school in its place.

I would like to praise Zoe Vitter of Woodbridge for her letter, “Taxes are not evil and should not be feared.”

Recently I have read the Manassas Journal Messenger articles on the salaries of administrators and teachers.

Apparently, there seem to be a few assumptions being made about the nature of my letter to the editor and I would like to correct them.

I am a teacher in Prince William County schools and the parent of four children. One of the most important aspects of Math Investigations is its ability to get children to think mathematically.

Why are the citizens of Prince William County not outraged at what the House of Delegates is proposing for this year’s state budget?

The Virginia Supreme Court has ruled that the General Assembly improperly delegated taxing powers to the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority, a body not elected for that purpose.

As a 15-year resident of Prince William, I have witnessed a constant fluctuation in property values and tax rates in the county.

When we say “Integrity,” we often mean it as an expression of something we trust, most often in reference to a person.

According to the Manassas Journal Messenger, its official: Like the former Soviet Union, there will be no choice in this May’s election for mayor and city council. 

Has anybody ever noticed how many taxes we pay?

Where’s the coverage? It is very disappointing the see the lack of coverage given to the clubs in the Northern Virginia Scholastic Hockey League (NVSHL) by this newspaper.
