I have a correction to make to Mr. Powell’s recent letter.  My name is MRS. Teets not MS. Teets, and I live in the City of Manassas, not Prince William County. So now that we have that straight, I have only two words left for you: Anger Management!

Oh, and I loved the cover of the New Yorker.

“I belive the program featuring Alan Colmes is called Hannity & Colmes, which means it also features the loud mouthed Sean Hannity forever trying to shout down Alan Colmes - bashing liberals in the process. All that said, pretty petty on both sides, eh?“

You’re actually right for once, Williams.  I took a misspelling from a blurb on google, and failed to double check.  My bad.  But I think you have the rest in total reversal of the truthy, or else you’re just in typical liberal denial.  Another one of those cases where liberals support freedom of speech, as long as it’s their speech.

Colmes is the argumentative, unreasonable liberal with a voice that sounds like fingernails on a blackboard; Hannity usually comes across as reasoned, measured and fair.  Now that can be applied to any fair-minded gentleperson, not just a conservative.

MikeG:

For your comment:

“places you firmly, and unmistakably, in the camp of the most liberal of democrats”

Thank you.  I do feel proud to be called “Liberal.“  Being called “most liberal of democrats” is even better.

Mr. Charest:  In seeking to always appear to be maintaining moral superiority, your penchant for spin and generalization places you firmly, and unmistakably, in the camp of the most liberal of democrats.  Your response to my poke in the ribs had the desired effect, Ron; you’ve revealed yourself to be as atypical as any liberal I’ve ever crossed wits with.  When you can’t win any other way, you attack your opponent’s credibility with innuendo and outright accusation.  Talk about thin skin!  Like they say on the schoolyard, “sticks and stones”...

MikeG, I belive the program featuring Alan Colmes is called Hannity & Colmes, which means it also features the loud mouthed Sean Hannity forever trying to shout down Alan Colmes - bashing liberals in the process. All that said, pretty petty on both sides, eh?

MikeG,

For all the letter’s I’ve had published here this past year, I’ve never felt the need to write two (2) follow-up letters defending what I wrote for a previous letter.

When the day comes that Liberals are as thin-skinned as Conservatives are now, you’ll certainly have my permission to mock away.  For now, the generalization holds.

Among the many things that amaze me about Liberals is just how thin-skinned they are.  They have Alan Cohmes and hundreds of Cohmes-wannabes broadcasting all across America, bashing Conservatives 24/7.

They have coordinated talking points, issued daily from the Democratic National Committee and passed to such luminaries of “Fair and Balanced” media outlets as NBC, ABC, and CBS, bashing and accusing Conservatives/Republicans of the very things Liberals/Democrats are guilty of.

Liberals are able to make a six week news cycle outrage over charges against Conservatives that aren’t even true (see: McCain mental health, McCain-Bush third term) while Republications cannot even get two days news coverage of a Democratic presidential candidate’s leading foreign relations advisor claiming America’s greatest threat is from nuclear weapons proliferation, not terrorism.

Yet, let any Conservative/Republican make the slightest mockery (or highlight unflattering truth) against a Liberal/Democrat, and all the fainting couches get full.

Whaaaa!

Charest:  Lesson in genralization; what goes around certainly can come around.  So quit your whining, you big baby!

while the mrs. tells us she is no longer a maiden, she doesn’t tell us what villinous maiden name she is ashamed of and hide from. bet her family tree takes her back to the court jesters in king arthur’s court. or the mad witches of salem that talked to dogs. and we wonder why people in fairfax laugh when we say we’re from manassas.

Here we have Ms Teets writing her third letter again defending her first letter which attempted to spread smears and innuendo against a sitting Democratic Senator and presidential candidate.

Among the many things that amaze me about Conservatives is just how thin-skinned they are.  They have Rush Limbaugh and hundreds of Limbaugh-wannabes broadcasting on Clear Channel-controlled radio stations all across America, bashing Liberals 24/7.

They have coordinated talking points, issued daily from the GOP and passed to such luminaries of “Fair and Balanced” media outlets as Fox,  bashing and accusing Liberals/Democrats of the very things Conservatives/Republicans are guilty of.

Conservatives are able to make a six week news cycle outrage over charges against Democrats that aren’t even true (see: Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem, Obama) while Democrats cannot even get two days news coverage of a Republican presidential candidate’s leading economic adviser claiming America’s financial problems are all in the minds of whiners.

Yet, let any Liberal/Democrat make the slightest mockery (or highlight unflattering truth) against a Conservative/Republican, and all the fainting couches get full.

Whaaaa!

Upon reading the editorial pages of USAToday & the Washington Post and listening to a slue of pundits, I discover that I am unsophisticated. That is, I have the ability to see bigotry for what it is; neither humorous or sophisticated.
I & those who were appalled at Jesse Jackson’s stated desire to do bodily harm to Barack Obama are just a bunch of unsophisticated hicks.
Why don’t we put Jesse in a sheet and a hood and show him burning a cross outside Barack’s door?
Humor and sophistication are perfect disguises for hate.

Who had the line a few weeks ago they last saw Sandi Teets at the beach? Best line of this whole sorry debate. How proud the residents of Manassas City must be to know she lives among them. MRS. Teets, your fifteen minutes of fame are over. To steal from the WP, if you don’t get it, you don’t get it. And you don’t get it.

But hummmm, now I wonder what your REAL last name is and what that REALLY says about you. Smart move to bury your past so your neighbors can’t determine who you REALLY are. We know the apples don’t fall far from the family tree.
