A few months ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Bob Marshall, Republican for U.S. Senate. Knowing that I wanted to get involved in politics and that I would be turning 18 before the elections, he told me about how I could become a delegate at the Virginia Republican Convention on May 31.
As Bob Lewis explained in his article this week, we will decide this weekend if Bob Marshall or former Gov. Jim Gilmore will face Democrat Mark Warner this November. I am confident that Bob Marshall is the better candidate.
Bob Marshall is faithful in doing what he says he’s going to do, he supports lower taxes and your second amendment rights, and he opposes amnesty for illegal immigrants as well as abortion. Some are saying that Marshall and Jim Gilmore are both pro-life.
Gilmore thinks it’s OK to abort babies that are less than 8-weeks- old. What happened to the original definition of pro-life? Lewis did a good job of pointing out that Gilmore’s stance is “scarcely better than that of Planned Parenthood.”
Some seem to think that because Gilmore served in the governor’s mansion, he is “better suited” to face Warner. Well, don’t forget that Mr. Marshall has 17 years of legislative experience, while Gilmore has none. Since Senators are legislators representing me, I find it a little more encouraging to put a veteran legislator on the ballot. Additionally, as Lewis pointed out in his article, Gilmore is sitting back in his “plush swivel chair,” thinking that he is “better suited” to receive the nomination. Meanwhile, Mr. Marshall is out winning the favor of the people who he hopes to represent on Capitol Hill. Bob
Marshall clearly has more energy, more determination and stronger positions on the issues.
This weekend, I will vote for Bob Marshall in Richmond and I hope that those of you who are also delegates will join me. If things go well on Saturday, I hope all of you will support Mr. Marshall in
November. For more info on the Marshall campaign, check out the Web site: http://www.BobMarshall2008.com.

I heard that Gilmore is on a board of directors for the pharmaceutical company that manufacturers the morning-after pill. That would explain his support of terminating life in the early months.

Bob does have a few good positions such as land use issues, but golly - his desire to create an American Afghanistan with his Taliban Party in control is scary. Remember the reports of criminals having their hand cut off and their treatment of women? I don’t think America is ready for Taliban Bob.

A free “paid political advertisement” for a creep.

Bob Marshall is opposed to amnesty for illegal aliens. He also does not want to pay for his “throw ‘em all out” solution.
Solid Republicanism: government that does only what Republicans want & is paid for by others. Bob Marshall would force 13 & 14-year old victims of rape or incest to carry any resulting pregnancy to term, imprisoning them and shackling them to a delivery table, if necessary. Yes, Kathleen, nice as he sounds, he would also do that to you.
He would treat gays & lesbians as criminals, forcing them back into the shadows with the unfortunate victims of rape & incest. Bob Marshall is a man without a heart or a conscience and will do whatever it takes to convince people he is right. People like Bob Marshall are generally called psychopaths.
