I feel oppressed and discriminated against by the people of Prince William County. It’s not what you’re thinking. I’m a native-born citizen of the United States. What I’m referring to is that I drive a car without a license, registration and insurance; I’m an undocumented driver. It’s what you bigots refer to as an “illegal driver.” But if you knew how hurtful that term is to us, you’d maybe think twice before you spew your bigoted hatred.
People tell us all the time — ”just go down to the DMV and stand in line like everybody else.” But we undocumented drivers know that it’s just your bigot’s mantra to disguise your hatred of undocumented drivers. Have you been to the DMV lately? Do you know how hard it is to stand in line, be reduced to a number like E680 and then go through that hellish, demeaning process? They even take your picture and force you to have it on your license. And don’t think I don’t know that they wait until you have the goofiest look on your face before they snap the picture. Then, you are forced to pay for it.
Can you even begin to imagine what life must be like for us? We are forced to live in fear every time we take to the highways. We are constantly looking over our shoulders worrying about the Gestapo-like tactics of Corey Stewart and his heartless henchmen.
I see the hatred in the eyes of the PWC police everyday as they keep harassing me, pulling me over and asking me for my license and registration. I try to tell them I am an undocumented driver, but they just want to throw me in jail! What kind of country is this?
We undocumented drivers use our cars to go to work, to go to your stores and purchase your goods.
We buy gas, too. But now they have impounded my car and I’ve lost my job because I can’t drive to work. How am I going to feed my family? What are we supposed to do?
When does Gary Jacobsen start whining about our plight?
I’m tired of all the hatred in PWC toward us undocumented drivers. I’m moving to Fairfax County.

“Conservative Humour” is an oxymoron, right up at top of the list with “Pretty Ugly.“

Ever wonder why there’s not a conservative version of The Daily Show? No GOP Onion? Do you find yourself wondering if Dennis Miller is really the funniest Republican comedian that can be mustered?
Print out and paste this “hilarious” letter from Kevin McCarthy on your refrigerator. There’s your answer.

Ron, you are correct and I am guilty as charged. I was reading thru the various posts and replied in one post to something I had read for another page. for that, I apologize.

First, a very nice tongue-in-cheek story to make a point. Second, please remember many of these people had legal drivers licenses AND auto insurance back before someone got the bright idea to put the screws to them and change the old Rule of Law to the new Rule of Law. This “adjustment” of the law has really done nothing to help us solve the illegal immigrant problem has it? The border is still wide open and illegals are still driving on our streets - now missing not one document (a green card) but three documents: A green card, drivers license and insurance card. I guess that serves as progress in the Resolutionists minds.

Mr. McCarthy, They will tolarate your ignorance to the law even less in Fairfax county, then they do here in PW County. Enjoy your futher stay at the at the Fairfax County Jail. Because that’s where your headed.
I’ve actually had run ins with others that think as you do. All at a loss to me and my family. Most recent: Dec.21,2006 6:50 a.m. On my way to work sitting at a stop light at the intersection of RT.28 and Yorkshire lane. (the light at CVS) southebound car locks the braks and slides 200+ feet, Swerves ant the last moment, hits me sitting at the stop light (I never entered the intersection, saw him comming!) does $5,000 worth of dammage to the car I was in, put me out of work for 2 1/2 months. He tried to leave the scene, but the school bus driver behind me at the light stoped him from leaving. Who was driving? A latino who had never had a drivers permit of any form in any country. He was written a ticket and allowed to call a friend for a ride home.
On Jan. 2005 Shoppers Square in Manassas, Had another Latino driver, slide into me on a snow cover road entering the shopping center parking lot. He backed up and took off into the shopping center, parked and him and his 5 buddies walk halfway across the shopping center parking lot to eat at McDonalds. I called the Police, They showed up an hour later. The Officer after interviewing the driver, Informed me the that she would be placing him under arrest for driving on a Suspended Licence, because of a DWI conviction. But She wrote him a ticket and allowed him to drive away from the scene. Me and my roomate sat there in disbelief. I walked up to the Police cruiser and asked why, and was abruptly told I should shut my mouth and get back in my vechile before I was charged with disorderly conduct.
Like I said, I hope you enjoy your stay at the Fairfax County Hotel. You may check out, But I somehow doubt YOU will be allowed to ever leave. Oh yeah by the way, They do have a habitual offender law in Fairfax County also.
Sincerly, Tired of the Idiots

Judging by the comments it’s plain to see that liberals have NO sense of humor.

Barnun,
Where in my post that you’re “rebutting” did I say anything about Stewart writing/not writing the state laws on restricting driver’s licenses from undocumented residents of Virginia?
Considering the number of Hispanics who have been arrested over these past couple of years, separated from their children who in many cases are legal American citizens, denied their constitutionally guaranteed rights of legal representation and fair trials; your example is way off base. Get real.
Here’s RonCharest’s Tips on writing on-line comments:
1 - Read the LTE or previous comment you plan on rebutting or supporting.
2 - Read the LTE or previous comment you plan on rebutting or supporting again. Think about what the writer is appearing to say.
3 - Write you opinion as either a rebuttal or supporting comment. In either case, provide supporting facts.
4 - Reade what you just wrote.
5 - Put it aside for at least ten minutes, then come back and read it again. Think about what you wrote, and decide if what you wrote means what you wanted to express.
6 - Run you comment through a grammar/spell checker.
7 - If including links, make sure the links work and take a reader to the website you wanted them to see.
8 - Count to ten, pause, then count to ten backwards. Ask yourself if you would want your mother to be reading what you’ve just wrote? You’re Grandmother?
9 - Re-read what you wrote again. If you make changes, run your comment through a spell checker again.
10 - Submit Comment.
IMHO, if more people followed these simple guidelines, these comments threads would not be descending into exchanging “neena, neena, neena, yah momma” flame wars nearly so often.

Bravo Mr. McCarthy. I appreciate the humor and the seriousness of your message. It’s sad that Gary and others just don’t get it. Sadder still that they never will. They have an agenda to distribute all of our earned wealth to the undocumented. To make us all equal so that none of us are rewarded for hard work and financial planning. We are to work harder so that others need not work at all. Go on Mr. McCarthy, keep on truckin. There is NO difference between driving without insurance, registration or license and breaking into the country. Gary needs to give all his away before he expects us to give ours and of course Gary has more due to the savings he puts away by hiring the undocumented.

Ron, as usual you take the extreme stance. I dont believe Mr Stewart is looking to beat up anybody. He is looking to have the current laws on teh books enforced. BTW, Mr Stewart did not write the law that prohibits the illegals from obtaining drivers licenses. Should we also give back drivers licenses to all those who have had theirs suspended for breaking the laws ? They probably have a job to go to as well. Or do you just want new special rules that apply only to the illegal citizens, in which case that is reverse discrimination. I’ve heard most of the pro illegal crowd try to paint the issue with the term “racism”. It’s not a racial issue. an *illegal* citizen of ANY race from ANY country cannot obtain a drivers license. Illegals of all races face the same circumstances across the board. I just saw on the news at lunch a story about an armenian family in california that will get deported a few days after their son graduates high school. the boy is the class valedictorian. Just pulled this off google. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,361861,00.html to bad the family is not from mexico, they wouldnt have been discrimated against is this way.
