A story about illegal behavior

I feel oppressed and discriminated against by the people of Prince William County. It’s not what you’re thinking. I’m a native-born citizen of the United States. What I’m referring to is that I drive a car without a license, registration and insurance; I’m an undocumented driver. It’s what you bigots refer to as an “illegal driver.” But if you knew how hurtful that term is to us, you’d maybe think twice before you spew your bigoted hatred.
People tell us all the time — ”just go down to the DMV and stand in line like everybody else.” But we undocumented drivers know that it’s just your bigot’s mantra to disguise your hatred of undocumented drivers. Have you been to the DMV lately? Do you know how hard it is to stand in line, be reduced to a number like E680 and then go through that hellish, demeaning process? They even take your picture and force you to have it on your license. And don’t think I don’t know that they wait until you have the goofiest look on your face before they snap the picture. Then, you are forced to pay for it.
Can you even begin to imagine what life must be like for us? We are forced to live in fear every time we take to the highways. We are constantly looking over our shoulders worrying about the Gestapo-like tactics of Corey Stewart and his heartless henchmen.
I see the hatred in the eyes of the PWC police everyday as they keep harassing me, pulling me over and asking me for my license and registration. I try to tell them I am an undocumented driver, but they just want to throw me in jail! What kind of country is this?
We undocumented drivers use our cars to go to work, to go to your stores and purchase your goods.
We buy gas, too. But now they have impounded my car and I’ve lost my job because I can’t drive to work. How am I going to feed my family? What are we supposed to do?
When does Gary Jacobsen start whining about our plight?
I’m tired of all the hatred in PWC toward us undocumented drivers. I’m moving to Fairfax County.

I don’t think it’s a failed attempt at satire I think it’ pretty funny. It seems some here don’t have a sense of humor. Lighten up

Is this McCarthy writting a Book? Who in the US and a Citizen would not get a drivers license at the right age,if they wanted to drive.
This all seems hokie to me, with his story.
We are a Land of Laws.

Nobody can look at Mr. McCarthy’s complexion and say, “Oh I’ll bet he’s an undocumented driver.“
Nobody can hear him speak with an accent and say, “Illegal.“
Mr. Jacobsen is right. This is what you call a failed attempt at satire.

Mr. McCarthy refuses to recognize that people who are here “Illegally” are desperately poor people unable to support families back in their native country. Those desperately poor people see there is opportunity for work here, but essentially NO avenue for obtaining legal visas to take those jobs “legally.“
Not to mention, US employers don’t want people to work “legally.“ Then, the employers would have to pay “legal” wages and benefits, manage payroll taxes, and observe occupational safety and health laws. If they have to do all that, they might as well hire American Citizens, unless they can move their operations offshore.
No, Mr. McCarthy along with others such as Nativist Greg Letiecq and BOSC Cory Stewart simply wants yet another chance to bully and beat up on people who are unable to defend themselves.

There are a few around here that like to think PWC is the only place an unlawful citizen is entitled to priviledges. A drivers license is not a right, it is a priviledge. If a legal citizen breaks certain laws, they are restricted from the priviledge of a drivers license. The same is true of people from other countries who unlawfully enter our country. The broke the laws upon their method of entry and are therefore not eligible for this priviledge. This stands true across most of our nation. felons are also restricted from certain priviledges because they broke the law once, even if they have repaid their debt to society they are restricted for life. This is not a “Resolutionist” thing, it’s a United States of America thing.

Sooner or later, Kevin McCarthy, one way or another, we will find you and all others like you. We will root out every last one of you like a French hound roots out truffles, until we licensed drivers can use our roadways in peace and safety. Best to leave of your own accord, and move to more welcoming jurisdictions.

Politicians and others did not think about what would happen once you took away the ability for illegals to be licensed to drive. Human nature dictates that they would continue to still drive but now would do so as undocumented drivers without insurance.
So, in reality the legislation created a hidden tax on licensed drivers by forcing us to up our uninsured driver policies.
Way to go legislators!

This is a failed attempt at satire. Also, I don’t whine about anything. I use what is known as a “two-fisted” approach to the issues (real issues, that is; not phony ones like this).

Mr. McCarthy:
Be careful driving yourself into Fairfax. I am sure you will draw the same attention to your unlawful behavior to the Fairfax Police and become their “Problem!“
Don’t do the crime if you don’t want to pay the fine!

Very nice, I love the humor. But the difference is you CAN walk into DMV and walk out with a license. In the immigrant’s case, someone thought they’d be cute and put the screws to the immigrant by shutting them out of the DMV, preventing them from getting a license. So the rest of us are left to share the road with an unlicensed, uninsured driver so a smug Rule of Law idealist can high-five his buddies and claim they’re making progress. I hope it is not your family the uninsured driver runs into, although I hope more it is not mine. What have we gained by withholding licenses? Nothing. But .. screw yourself seems to be the motto of the Resolutionists.
