Affirmative-action Democrat mediocrity

Democrats were in a conundrum at their convention in Denver because Hillary Clinton is not their presidential nominee.

Barack Obama is their nominee solely because of affirmative action.

Affirmative action, the liberal mantra placing mediocrity over competition and merit, was ripping Democrats apart at their convention.

Their own mundane policy is destroying the Democrat party within.

In essence, affirmative action does not result in the best qualified and a myriad of Democrats know this.

Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Congratulations President-elect McCain.

Godsaveus,

When it comes to being a jerk, folks such as Cobra, Cris Cummings, and yourself all set a pretty high bar.

With the flood of news out, the media are already asking if Gov Palin is going to “decline” the VP nomination.  We already know she’s tied into a radical right-wing group that is pushing for Alaskan secession.  As mayor she tried to get books banned from the local city library then attempted to fire the librarian for not cooperating.  We know she did fire one person for supporting her opponent as mayor, and got a state trooper fired for divorcing her sister.  She bragged about bringing in the pork for her home state, became Mayor of Wasilla when the city had zero debt and left a city debt of $2 million with zero capital improvements to show for that money. She raised sales tax and lowered property taxes which only benefited the wealthy.

She’s under state investigation for improper firings, is now lawyering up and claiming executive privilege on her e-mails being subpoenaed for this investigation.

We’ve learned all this in just five days over Labor Day Weekend.

Anyone offering nominations for Gov Palin’s replacement as Sen McCain’s VP pick?  I sense the good governor will soon be announcing she would rather spend more time with family (i.e. “Changing Diapers”).

“You ere good putting names. I have one for you Barack Osama Bin-Biden .  Bin Biden is a longer supporter on the Government of Iran. “

Real intelligent debate.  Not hard to see why you voted for Bush.  You were probably impressed that he “talked so awesome”.

“So does that make Bidden & BHO a coward such as what I’ve been called for not serving in an all voluntary military in 1979? “

What a crock.

You have repeatedly called VETERANS on this website - including myself - “traitors”.  People who have gone to war defending this country you have called TRAITORS, because they don’t share your political opinions.

I don’t know if you’re a coward or not.  But this pretty much tells me all I need to know about what caliber of person you are.

Ron, I’m more interested in the Republican Convention.  Neither sitting Republican president or vice-president attending. Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Lieberman having a choice speaking slot, Hillary look-alike chosen as running mate, TV actor being held up as a “voice of Americans”. To this we add “Family Values” include skirt-chasing, wife-dumping men, pregnant unmarried teenagers and alignment with jihadist Christian ministers .... whew, talk about not belonging to an “organized political party”. Knock ‘em dead, Maverick! This is better than reruns of “Are you Smarter Than a 5th Grader”.

“NEWS FLASH”
Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden received five student draft deferments during the Vietnam War, the same number of deferments received by Vice President Dick Cheney, and later was disqualified from service because of asthma as a teenager.

This should put to rest the entire BS about those that did not serve during the Vietnam War era. Neither BHO nor Bidden served in the Military. So does that make Bidden & BHO a coward such as what I’ve been called for not serving in an all voluntary military in 1979?

Asthma?
In “Promises to Keep,“ a memoir that was published last year and became an instant best-seller after he was tapped as Obama’s running mate, Biden never mentions his asthma, recounting an active childhood, work as a lifeguard and football exploits in high school.
Bidden talks constantly about his athletic prowess while in High School. Hmmm, can play football but could not catch his breath long enough to serve in Vietnam? Let the SPIN BEGIN FROM THE WACKY LEFT.

cobra, you need to change “woman” to “qualified woman”.  Yes, Hillary was qualifed and also a woman. Governor Payless is simply a woman that was available and that John hadn’t dated when he was younger and “expressing” his Republician Family Values when cheating on his wife. Big difference.
And, as an afterthought .. Are Governor Payless’s Republican Family Values what you want for your daughter?

Mr. McCain wasn’t looking for anyone who could exercise any political power, were he to win he would just banish Palin to the Naval Observatory.
The next administration, be Democrat or Republican is faced with a massive economic problem.  Things are not getting better, that’s not negative thinking, it’s reality.
There will be no overnight fix, if Obama wins, within 24 hours of his winning, the Republicans will suddenly become aware of the chaos the economy is in, and will begin screaming for the fix, and yes, taxes will probably have to rise a bit.
I would almost say the Republicans have picked a ticket that will loose so they won’t get strapped with the problems.

<Can anyone think of other potential Republican VP nominations, just in case Gov Palin decides she’d rather stay home and change diapers>
What jerk are you. Don’t you say that your party support woman, now that is a women a VP Republican candidate, you go against her and your principals. You are asking to go home and change diapers only because she is a working mother. Did your mother ever work when you where a child? It is a mother unable to fully perform his job because her childs?.

I cannot BEGIN to tell you how excited I am about the Sarah Palin pick.  The more I learn about her, the more I excited I get:

- Sarah campaigned in Wasilla as a “fiscal conservative”. During her 6 years as Mayor, she increased general government expenditures by over 33%. During those same 6 years the amount of taxes collected by the City increased by 38%.

- She reduced progressive property taxes and increased a regressive sales tax which taxed even food.

- She inherited a city with zero debt, but left it with indebtedness of over $22 million.

- While Sarah was Mayor of Wasilla she tried to fire a highly respected City Librarian because the Librarian refused
to consider removing from the library some books that Sarah wanted removed. City residents rallied to the defense of the City Librarian and against Palin’s attempt at out-and-out censorship, so Palin backed down and withdrew her termination letter.

Amazing how much she has in common with George W. Bush, isn’t it?

All I can say is THANK YOU, JOHN MCCAIN.
