Americans are being led astray

I have to say it to you, folks, it looks like you’re being led down the proverbial “path,” and you are seemingly unaware where you are headed.
A lot of you bought the media’s slant on our president, but, had Bush not been our president, I think the terrorists would have visited upon us again and again, here, at home.
The media has been floating un-substantiated verbiage about his being a liar for a long time. I truly wonder how he could stand up to such garbage, but, quite possibly, that is the measure of this man. He
does not deserve such treatment
So many Monday-morning quarterbacks tout their version of whether Iraq should have been attacked. Well, are you dumb enough to think he did so without first having a lot of intelligence indicating
Saddam was on his way to acquiring nukes? His was not the only intelligence involved, for even the Soviets thought so, the Brits thought so, the French thought so, and on and on. And you accuse him of
invading a country without reason! How many thousands of Iraqi citizens were found in mass graves? But, all you are worried about is the fact no real WMDs were found.
Woodrow Wilson, Democrat, got us into World War I; FDR, Democrat, got us into World War II;Truman, Democrat, got us into Korea, which began at the 38th parallel and, guess what, ended at the
same place, and this after losing some 35,000 Americans and tons and tons of airplanes, not to mention material; JFK and LBJ put us into Vietnam, Nixon extricated us.
Present day: Obama, you should know, has never practiced law and both he and his wife surrendered their licenses. Lawyers do not give up their licenses unless there is something wrong. Before you
vote, it would be really smart of you to read Andy Martin’s book, “Obama, The Man Behind The Mask.”

This argument has wandered off into the realm of the nonsensical. Why am I not surprised?

“intelligence the Bush whorehouse received, Bush et al decided to go ahead with their own “intelligence”
Okay. I’ll try to make sense of this. What you’re saying is that despite all of the CIA’s intelligence saying that Saddam had WMD…and despite Pakastan’s ISI, Saudi, British, Russian, and even French intelleigence ALSO saying that Saddam had WMD…and despite the fact that he’d used WMD on his own people…that somehow, Bush ignored all of this intelligence, and instead used his own “phony” intelligence to topple Saddam’s regime.
Again…people who write like you (and think like you) shouldn’t do so in public.

pwanon: you “conveniently” overlook (intentiopnally) that despite the intelligence the Bush whorehouse received, Bush et al decided to go ahead with their own “intelligence”, pjony as it was, i.e. damb the torpedoes, full steam ahead. And there were no WMD. Jusat a total disaster and costly war. The paper and books coming out today clearly show the lies and deceit of the action by the Repubs. Bush should long ago have been impesached, or hung, like Saddam.
The rest of your post is strictly propaganda and b.s. by someonme who want to make a disaster look like a big win. People are tired of this war. Everyone is so free and happy in Iraq - just killings and bombings every day.
As a bigoted Republican, I can see why Clinton has to get all blame. The Repubs just have never gotten over
Clinton.
Are you better off today after 8 yrs of scumbags and slime Bush, Cheney, Rove, et al?

“Note how he tries to rationalize and explain away faulty intelligence in Bush admin, no WMD, etc”
There’s no need to rationalize it. U.S. intelligence, along with British, Russian, Israeli, and heck, even Saudi and Pakastani intelligence all said Saddam had WMD. And, of course, he’d used them twice before, unleashing chemical weapons on Iranian troops and on his own people.
Beyond that, he was told by the United Nations, on too numeous occasions to count, that he had to open up for inspections and allow the IAEA full access. He expelled the inspectors again, and again, and again.
The problem is…he was used to Billy Jeff Clinton who, much like BHO, is all style, and no substance. Saddam had been allowed to rebuff the entire world (for a decade, at least) until finally came someone who meant it when they said that his defiance of the UN would be met with action.
Now…he’s taking the long, dirt nap, and the people upon whom he committed unspeakable acts of genocide are voting in free and fair elections.
It would be nice if, at some point in the near future, the Democrat party would actually join those root for American successes, rather than failures.
And, by the way…why would we trust a Democrat to keep us safe from attacks? The Sudan offered Osama bin Laden to Billy Jeff Clinton on a silver platter, and he refused to take him because he just couldn’t figure out what court to try him in. In the meantime, Al Qaeda grew stronger, unchecked by the Clinton administration, throughout the 90’s to the point where they were free to operate with such impunity that they could plan 9/11 with no problems at all.
Since 9/11, GWB has destroyed 85-90% of Al Qaeda’s leadership, frozen millions in moneys intended for them, and has chased them all over the world.
Let’s see…a far-left Democrat who’s never taken one meaningful stand on any issue in his entire life, tolerates terrorists as “colleagues” and sits in the pews of racist Reverends who justify 9/11 as the “chickens come home to roost”..
Or a moderate Republican, who has served and sacrificed for his country and understands the depth of the struggle that we’re in.
It’s scary that BHO’s supporters even consider them comparable.

I wonder how many lawyers holding political office continue to maintain licenses to practice. Many licensed professionals do not continue to maintain their licenses when they cease to practice their profession. Mr. Obama and his wife decided to not practice law, and either yielded their licenses, or failed to renew them.
Can’t see anywhere that either were disbarred, unless you can fabricate it.
While one is pointing out negative books, like the one you refer to, is there a possiblity of an obscure quatrain from Nostradamus pointing to Obama. Maybe, just maybe, using “The Morning of the Magicians”, we can prove that Obama is a member of the Thule Society, or the Illuminati, or even the Grand Council of the Orient.
Conspiracy books are very abundant in our society, most leveled against individuals who are too dead to defend themselves, or against political figures will not waste the time to give creditability to them.
Yes, there is a conspiracty afoot, it is to mold this nation of diverse racial, ethnic, and political opinions into one truly great nation. As well there is a conspiracy afoot to fragment this nation into warring factions.

Indeed, we are being led astray—by both sides.
There is not a man in this race that is equal to the task at hand. We have been asked to choose between two political anomalies who have little or no business running for President.
Better choices on both sides were available, and were ignored.
Look at what we’ve settled for.

From a historical standpoint, I would argue that the attacks on the RMS Lusitania and Pearl Harbor would have brought us into the world wars no matter who was president. In any case, I do not see how the actions of past Democratic presidents excuse this mistake of the Bush administration. There was mixed intelligence on Iraq prior to the war, but the Bush Administration had already decided what they were going to find before they went looking for it and put immense pressure on the intelligence community to distort the facts in favor of a war. It is true that Saddam was an evil you-know-what and deserved worse than what he received, but how many other evil you-know-whats have been allowed to flourish while we voluntarily opened a second front in the conflict with terrorism? There were ways of taking Saddam out without a full-scale invasion and a smart president would have found one. Pity we went with the guy we could have a beer with.

The point should be any other president other than Bush, supported by John McCain by the way, would have focused on catching Osama Bin Laden and not taken a detour into Iraq - where Saddam could assure no terrorist organization would develop.
Bush and his policies supported by John McCain 95% of the time have failed America. We should not give the Bush Administration Four More Years under John McCain if we want to remain safe from attack.

Another dies-hard pro-Bush pro-McCain supporter. Poor guy. He ven has the old discredited political line that “the Dems always get us in war”, but omits the line “the Repubs always get us in a recession” - like the last 8 years of Bush.
Note how he tries to rationalize and explain away faulty intelligence in Bush admin, no WMD, etc. And he is really tracing Obama looking for simethings, like hius law degree, legal practice, etc. Where is his analysis of scumbag Mccain and burlesque quuen Palin? Just an omission no doubt. A pathetic LTE.
