Finally, the first legitimate criticism of Barack Obama. Barack was recently filleted for comments about small town Americans. He called them bitter and said that they cling to religion and guns for comfort. Make no mistake, Barack Obama is an internationalist and an elitist.
He is Harvard educated and a world traveler. He is a citizen of the world and a free trader. His buddy Oprah Winfrey sends money to Africa while turning up her nose at spoiled American children. While I don’t like this aspect of Barack Obama, he is still our best hope, despite being slightly bourgeois,
Barack Obama is the smartest, calmest and wisest candidate in the race. My doctor in Woodbridge is a snob too but he knows his stuff so I let him operate. The world is filled with talented but arrogant people.

I dread watching the Republicans trot out the lame “elitism” argument this fall. We just suffered through eight years of alleged “ordinary guy” George W. Bush. We can see how well that worked out for us.
Shouldn’t we expect our President to be among the nation’s elite? I don’t care if he can bowl. I don’t care if he watches NASCAR or follows football. I could care less if the president can hunt. I really wish these candidates would all quit pretending they’re ordinary people like the rest of us.
Whether the next president is Clinton, McCain or Obama, I expect and want that person to be the sharpest, most elite person our country has to offer.

I am sure that to the liberal far left, Obama is an attractive candidate, since he is the most liberal of the three major candidates. If the writer is not of this position, then he is correct ... Obama is certainly smart enough to have fooled him.

The first legitimate criticism? Barack is an absolute joke. He has absolutely no credentials to be remotely considered for the job. He’s a freshman Senator. He has sponsored absolutely no important pieces of bipartisan legislation, despite his claim to be a “uniter”. In fact, he’s sponsored no important pieces of legislation period. He has zero knowledge of or experience in foreign policy. He has yet to define his policy position on any notable issue, aside from saying that he’d pull out of Iraq almost immediately, but “reserves the right to go back in if there is evidence that Al Qaeda is building a base there.” Um, Barack, THEY’RE ALREADY THERE. That’s why they’re called “Al Qaeda in Iraq”. Not to mention how difficult it would be on our brave men and women to go back in once they’ve left.
He associates with known terrorists (Rashid Khalidi) and known racists ("Reverend" Wright) and seeks counsel from a man who would rather that “God Damn America” than “God Bless America”.
He mentions that he would “negotiate” with Iran, which has already admitted to providing arms and training to insurgents in Iraq who have murdered our servicemen and women. What’s there to negotiate, Barack?
Mr. Ares notes that his doctor is a snob, but he lets him operate because he “knows his stuff.” That’s because he has credentials, sir. A medical degree. Barack has nice speeches full of empty platitudes. Apparently that’s enough for many voters. Not for me.
