My letter is in response to Larry Remener’s letter on June 8, when he came to Obama’s defense of why it doesn’t matter that Obama REFUSES to wear an American flag pin. Mr. Remener — have you
ever wore a pin bearing the American flag?
I have, and when putting it on my jacket or shirt, I feel overwhelming pride in my country. I am so proud to wear that flag, and I am so lucky I live here in the United States of America.
I love wearing the red, white and blue. It reminds me of what a great country I live in, the outright freedom I feel to do whatever I am capable of and it reminds me of those who fought for me, who don’t
know me, have never met me, but they feel this urge to protect me and my way of life here in America. I thank them for that freedom.
Maybe the reason Obama REFUSES to wear an American flag pin is because he does not feel that America is what he thinks it should be. He feels it should be changed. He hopes that the American
people think so, too.
That is NOT how a real American-blooded person feels and not how we would treat our precious flag. He is not wearing the flag pin because he just doesn’t have one. He is not wearing the flag pin
because he REFUSES to.
Maybe Obama is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. He might lure you to the voting booth, but watch out when he bites your hand. There are warning bells going off in your head, but you are going to vote for him
anyway. Don’t complain when we end up being a socialist country where the American flag is not flown over OUR White House.
As your president, he will NOT put his hand over his heart when he hears the Star Spangled Banner. Is that your idea of someone representing you and your country?
I think I will go out and buy myself an American Flag pin today, and wear it every day. According to Mr. Remener, that makes me an idiot. I think the idiots are those who are buying into what Obama is
selling and making excuses for why he should be our commander in chief.

I am EXTREMELY disappointed Ms. Walker is not already the owner of an American flag pin and must go out today and purchase one. The fact she has not been wearing a pin DAILY since September 11, 2001 on her blouse, soccer mom outfit or workout wear each time she goes out in public shows she is a johnny-come-lately to having American Pride and thus her actions can simply be discounted as an opportunity for political mudslinging. In the best of Karl Rove tradition, if one cannot attack the platform, attack the man standing on the platform. Fortunately, with the Electoral College system, Ms. Walker’s vote be wasted in November as Obama will win Virginia in an overwhelming majority. Sanity returns to America January 20, 2009.

When the time comes in November to choose the man who will control the most complex and far reaching military on the planet, be the face of our nation on the diplomatic stage and make far-reaching decisions on the policies that steer a of a 13.8 trillion dollar GDP economy, Ms. Walker will be basing her decision on a lapel accessory. Outstanding! Please everyone, go to http://www.johnmccain.com/Informing/Issues/ and http://www.barackobama.com/issues/ and sacrifice a few minutes of television to learn which man’s plans best match your vision for America. Let’s vote like informed, intelligent citizens and not sheep.
