Barack Obama — the post turtle

There is a saying going around that Barack Hussein Obama is a “post turtle.”

When you drive down a road in Texas and see a turtle sitting on a fence post, you know three things: one, he didn’t get there by himself; two, he has no idea what he’s doing and three, an unidentified
third party clearly controls him and his outcome.

I don’t believe associating the saying to Hussein is all correct, but close.

One, he certainly didn’t get there by himself, but through the corrupt democratic machine in Chicago.

Two, he, in fact, does know what he’s doing in his attempt to institute a socialist society in America, and three, his controlling agent is the far left fringe of socialists and his cohorts in the anti-America
cabal.

Jon Stewart said it pretty well last night:

“Republicans love America.  They just hate most of the people in it.“

I am amazed by Ron Homan and other posters fascination with Barack Obama’s name. Regular poster cobra wants to know how to spell ‘Hussein’, as if that is a clever way of pointing out Barack’s middle name is not ‘Michael’ or some such traditional name. Homan simply calls Senator Obama ‘Hussein’ in hopes that a simple mention will send shivers up the spines of countless ignorant Americans.

cobra, who shows HIS courage by hiding behind a pseudonym, has posted many times he is not a racist or anti-immigrant. Then why the ongoing need to point out Obama was given a non-traditional name by his parents? Are we to believe we should fear those that have names that reflect their heritage? Should all Mexican children born here be named Tom, Dick or Harry? Is cobra’s real name Joe, Juan or perhaps Jihad? We don’t know.

Is this an attempt to link Obama with the Muslim religion? If so, why? Is not America a land of religious freedom? Is it written in our Constitution that only white Protestants may seek the office of President? Did these so-called supporters of American values vote against Al Gore because he selected Joe Lieberman as a running mate? Why are what appear to be educated, intelligent people so afraid of those that appear to be different from themselves, even if this difference is simply race or, good golly, a name bestowed by a parent?

The answer is simple.  Because for the Republican Party, it is all about selling fear. Selling fear that voting for someone that appears to be ‘different’ may lead to change and upset our white-majority apple cart. Fear that our schools will educate those ‘not like us’ and create competition for our jobs. Fear that somehow our lives will change for the worse if America is not controlled by fat white men clustered in a hidden room. Republicans also like to point out those of whom we should be afraid of. They tell us we should be afraid of change and those that promote it.

What Republicans do not tell us is what their ideas are for saving this country. To avoid change, they tell us more of the same is a good choice and that our problems will go away simply by ignoring them. Corporate mismanagement, a collapsed housing market, no plan (but more of the same) for energy independence and an ever increasing deficit is what our Republican supporters tell us to accept. Republicans tell us to remember change is bad and those that promote change are, by default, bad too. Barack Hussein Obama is a breath of fresh air for America and he has my vote for President.

Is this a Republican writing about “corrupt” Democrats? (Laughing).

This is too funny!

Back in the summer of 2001, before then newly-elected President Bush blew off the NIE titled “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in the US,“ the post turtle joke was going around about Bush.  It went like this:

A man was visiting his old country doctor, and happened to ask his doctor what he thought about Bush.  The old country doctor replied “Bush is a post turtle.“  “What’s a post turtle?“ the man asked.  The doctor explained “You’re driving down a back road, and see a turtle sitting on top of a fence post.  You know it didn’t get there without help, you know it can’t get down by itself, and you know it just doesn’t belong there, so you just can’t help feeling sorry for it.“

Then 9/11 happened, and somehow Bush became a great Republican hero.  Too funny.
