Barack Obama’s roots are in Kansas, Illinois and Hawaii. He also earned a degree from Harvard Law School.
It is important to point out that his “experience” is in working with the poor in Chicago. He brings these qualities along with a vision and a cadre of highly respected diplomatic, financial, and military
advisers who are excited about his campaign. Obama has a very simple but unifying message — to get out of Iraq responsibly and fix the economy.
These are a couple of reasons to be mindful of the smear campaigns that are being leveled against him such as the one in the Potomac News’ Michael Potts column where he discusses Michael Penn’s
biased and inaccurate remarks (August 16).

Every candidate for President over the last 40 years has run on a platform of change in Washington. As you can see, those are empty promises. It will be no different regardless of who is elected. Very easy to run and talk about change but to actually make it happen is just fantasy. As Ray has stated on many occasions, we have all pretty much made up our minds and no amount of rhetoric on either side is going to change that. Sorry Ray, BHO has some explaining to do about all his associations with the radical left. He knew damn well who Bill Ayers was when he knocked on his door to start his political career. Yes I believe BHO has disassociated himself from Ayers but he still needs to explain why he engaged a Terrorist who bombed US Federal Buildings. That is very troubling for many Americans and not just Republicans looking to discredit him on the issue. The MSM has been absolutely awful with vetting this candidate. He is being tossed softballs by the press. I think it was a political mistake for him not to pick Hillary as VP candidate but we knew all along that those two camps hate each other. Let’s see what old Bill has to say tonight.

In his memoir, Obama says being a community organizer taught him how to motivate the powerless and work the government to help them. His chief example is an effort to remove asbestos from Altgeld Gardens, an all-black public housing project on Chicago’s South Side.
But those who were involved in the effort say Obama played a minor role in working the problem and never accomplished his goal. A pre-existing group at Altgeld Gardens and a local newspaper, the Chicago Reporter, were working on the problem before Obama came on the scene, yet Obama does not mention them in his book, “Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance.”
After three years working as an organizer, Obama could say he helped obtain grants for a jobs program and got asbestos removed from some pipes in the project. But as the Los Angeles Times has noted, the “large-scale change that was needed at the 1,998-unit project was beyond his reach.” To this day, most of the asbestos remains in the apartments.
What a legacy!.

Kevin, when your candidate brings nothing new to the table, you have to resort to fear, smear and attempts to associate him with non-Americans. Barack brings hope and change for our future, and that scares those that still live in a Leave it to Beaver world.
