Be very wary of Obama’s ‘change’

Intelligent people for Obama (Oct. 8)? There is a village somewhere in search of Ms. Guillen.  She points out the size of the deficit. Since she is much more intelligent that the rest of us, perhaps she can
explain how Obama can offer $800 billion in new social spending plus give everybody a tax cut (except for those evil rich people and small businesses). She then regurgitates the Internet story about
Sarah Palin banning books in “little” Wasilla.  Reading a comic book such as “Audacity of Hope” apparently leads to belief in such fairy tales.  “Obama Nation” explains exactly who Obama is and what he
stands for.

Let’s step back for a moment and look at this candidate. Here we have a senator who has been in the Senate only a few years and much of that time he has spent running for higher office. As a state
senator he voted “present” more than 130 times, which indicates a lack of conviction and an inability to make a decision. When we have a national crisis I do not think he can get by with voting “present.”

His lack of attendance in the Senate coupled with his lack of spine in his state senate has given the public very little information with which to assess his judgment. His associations, it would seem,
indicate the kind of man Obama is. He attended a church for 20 years that spews hate against the United States and anyone who happens to be white.  He left the church and his longtime pastor only
when he realized he could not remain a member while seeking nationwide office.  It is not possible that someone would attend a church like that for 20 years and not agree with its teachings. Would you?

He is “friendly” with William Ayers. This person is a terrorist who bombed buildings in the country as part of the Weathermen, a radical 1960s group. In an interview on September 11, 2001, he stated that
he wishes he had bombed more. Obama and Ayers have done fundraisers together and sat on boards together. Ask yourself if you would have a friendship with someone like Ayers.

Obama is a Marxist who believes in the same things that his associates do. On the positive side, he sure can make a good speech. You want change? Be careful what you ask for.

Pwanon,

“Wow. And they give you guys the right to vote? What a country.“

Yes it is.  Even better, it’s guys like me who spent the better part of their life defending our country so people like you could enjoy “free speech.“

If anything, people such as myself EARNED the right to vote - no one gave it to me.

“If you read the real news”

And by “real news,“ I’m assuming you mean CNN, MSNBC, and the Washington Post?  Right.

And a few people are of the opinion that McCain “does not have the temperament” to be POTUS.  Wow.  I guess it must be true then.  He should probably just pack up and go home then, huh?  And some guy in some race in Washington state distanced himself from McCain?  Wow.  The research you two put in is just impeccable.

But back to reality.  Kristol has said numerous things about why BHO isn’t fit to be the President.  They must all be true as well.  Apparently you’ve overlooked those criticisms.  Beyond that, my quote was that they call him an “honest” man, even when they have vehement disagreements with him.  A democrat who spent a year investigating him came to the same conclusion.  I think that suffices to seperate McCain from BHO, whom nobody has ever confused with “honest.“

He has lied from the beginning of this media-driven odyssey.  He’s lied about Ayers and Wright.  He’s lied about being a man of “change” without ever delivering a shred of it throughout his career.  He’s lied about being committed to public financing.  He’s lied about the extent to which the Democrats colluded with Fannie and Freddie to create this mess.  And who knows where it stops with this undemocratically selected con man.

You’re right…gas prices are plummeting because BHO said to “inflate your tires.“  That’s beyond absurd, even for a backwards, America-hating liberal like yourself.

Wow.  And they give you guys the right to vote?  What a country.

The change Obama represents is quite simple. He is not George Bush.

This county has failed miserably under the Republican leadership and we must change to Democratic leadership to once again stablize America.

Barack Obama and Joe Biden are simply the face of this change.

If McCain is such the hot ticket, then why oh why did you Republicans not support him in 2000? You thought he was a loser then much as America thinks now - a nice guy not fit to be president.

Hey, Pwanon;

Your comment

“He is called an honest man even by those whom has fought against for 20 years.“

Is not exactly correct.  If you read the real news, you’d know that at least three senior members of McCain’s own party were publicly stating more than a year ago that Sen. McCain did not have the temperament for a president.

Yesterday on Fox News Sunday, Bill Kristol, formerly one of Sen. McCain’s biggest cheer leaders, said John McCain’s campaign has really become “a pathetic campaign.“

More and more Republican Senators and Congressmen running for re-election are distancing themselves from McCain.  In Washington State, one Republican Congressman is actually claiming endorsements from a Democratic Congressman and from Sen. Obama – neither of which this Congressman has.

But, I guess as a Conservative, we can’t allow facts to stand in the way of opinions, can we?

With gasoline back under $3.00 per gallon, let’s look how our presidential candidates handled the situation.

Barack Obama immediately came out with a program that could be implimented quickly - and simply. With his program to properly inflate our tires, we have reduced the demand for gasoline and the markets have responded with declining prices. While alternate energy sources still need to be explored, we at least have short-term progress - and this shows at the pump.

John McCain on the other hand said Drill Baby Drill.  Uh, has any drilling been done? Has McCain produced a single gallon of oil with his Drill Baby Drill plan? No. And this is typical of what a McCain Administration would produce. Rhetoric without substance.

Vote Barack Obama on November 4th.

“then and only then will you be able to carry on an educated and coherent dialogue with me”

And by “educated and coherent” you mean calling those that disagree with you “morons,“ right?  Yes, that would pass for “educated and coherent” when it comes to supporters of BHO…considering the only argument I’ve heard on his behalf is “we hate George Bush so much we’ll vote for anyone the Democrats throw at us.“

Which is what they’ve done…throw him at you…because he couldn’t even win the popular vote of his own party in the primary.

And how is it, exactly, that your opinion is so “educated,“ while apparently mine must be spoonfed to me by Hannity, et. al?  Because I don’t swoon at the prospect of a racist-and- terrorist sympathizing political con man residing the in the White House, I must be some dumb fool who just can’t quite understand the unmatchable, immovable wit and grasp of all things that you possess.

There is substance to John McCain. He has served our country.  He is called an honest man even by those whom has fought against for 20 years.  He grasps the life or death struggle we are in with Islamic terrorism.  He will appoint judges who apply the Constitution…not fit it to their own ideology.  He understands that men like Ahamdinejad and Putin aren’t interested in diplomacy, and must be watched ever vigilantly.

These are concrete reasons that I am voting for him.  BHO is a shell…a con…who has achieved nothing substantive in his short, undistinguished, and radical-left career.

You keep believing in the undemocratically selected false prophet.  Because you’re scary smart…that’s why.

The problem here pwanon is that McCain is not running against Obama - he is running against the Republican record of George W. Bush.

People are fed up with the Bush Administration and all associated with it.  Had you feverish McCain supporters actually SUPPORTED John McCain when he ran against Bush, we would not be having this discussion now.

I ask again: How do you expect us to trust your judgement on John McCain when you all told us Bush was the man for the job and blindly supported him for 7 1/2 years - you know, until the new Bush came along? Now you dump on Bush, you’re man, and support McCain.

Sorry, we’ve been down that road before.

I have presented you the facts, pwanon, however, your objetivity is compromised by your own political bias and inability to accept reality.  I’m not trying to convince you to vote for Obama, I’m just educating you on the facts as they are, not what you believe them to be, besed on faulty information from tabloid journalism: (Fox News) and uneducated conservative radio personalities.

It appears as if you have taken talking points from Rush, the drug addict, bloated hypocrite, Limbaugh!  If you were are true conservative, you’d be supporting Bob Barr for President, so it seems like you have an integrity problem…by supporting McCain and his dunce of a VP candidate.

Think for yourself, for once!  Don’t believe the hyperbole from the wicked right.  Once you have weaned yourself off of the lies that come out of the desperate and weak neo-fascist movement that has become the Republican Party, then and only then will you be able to carry on an educated and coherent dialogue with me.

Now, you can thank (me) a veteran, officer and gentleman for educating you and providing you direction.

School is out for now, I will not continue lecturing you for free!

“learn the facts before you speak or write moron!

Right.  I do love how BHO’s supporters cite his ability to be a “uniter” to bring this country back from these days of disrepute, and then promptly call those who have a difference of opinion “morons.“  Feel the warmth.

First, I did take the time to learn the facts about the “Keating 5.“  What better place to learn the facts than from the guy who was the lead investigator?  In the same interview where he totally exonerates John McCain and states that he was completely innocent, he also says the he asked that McCain be cut out of the investigation, but Democrats on the ethics panel wouldn’t allow it.  I think they call this “obstruction of justice” when the findings of a formal investigation are ignored by politicians.

“If you have nothing good to say about your candidate, then don’t propagate lies and inuendo about others.“

From an earlier post of yours.  You post this nonsense, and then turn around and dump exactly that on McCain…lies and inuendo…So which is it?  Are you a neutral, unbiased political observer who views all happenings from a great pillar of objectivity? Or are you just a hack pleading the extremely weak case that we should usher in socialism, judges who believe that the Constitution is what they make of it, legitimization of tyrants, social engineering, and and turning a blind eye to the outright lies that conceal the corrupt, cynical political that is BHO.

You speak as though you are the sole possessor of fact.  But you offer so few of them in comparison to the amount of pompous, fact-adverse garbage you’ve posted thus far.
