Campaigns are much too cruel

This political campaign is comparable to “mud wrestling.” Except, mud wrestling” is cleaner.  Never have I seen a campaign as mean, cruel and ugly.

And, I have seen many. The attacks on the candidates have shown no mercy on their feelings or their families’ feelings.

How it must hurt to be compared to a pig! How it must hurt to have ones’ family attacked, to suffer malicious hints and innuendoes! How demeaning it must be to have ones’ religion and one’s ministers
involved in this campaign!

This campaign is not fair and balanced in the news media. I’ve ceased reading about any of it. Hopefully, I can glean some information from the candidates themselves.

How would they serve their time in office? What decisions would they make for the country and its people?

What we need today is to come together as a people and to judge the candidates for their qualifications.

“Would this be the first time a First Lady was a wealthy trollop and drug addict?“

Well, would it?  You’re asking the question; I assume you have an answer—truthful or otherwise.

You cast dispersions upon people you know nothing about.  You make distinctions and assumptions based on hate and intolerance.  Your use of vitriolic hate speech is unnecessary and unwarranted.  You accuse others of bigotry, arrogance, and ignorance, yet you yourself embody these same characteristics and see nothing wrong with it.

Ironic?  Pathetic?  Misanthropic?

I think it’s all of the above.

Once again considering the source of the last comment.  If it’s baseless invective against women you want, look no further.

GSU:  just todat I saw the trollop on TV campaigning for McCain.  What is she doing in the election then?  She may not be running for President, but she might just be in the WH. When one starts campaigning sas she is, you are involved and fair game.  Just think:  the first trollop as First Lady, and drug addict.

Cindy McCain is not running for president , although Obama is , he is the one that had drug addiction, and about poor judgments. I have enough looking Barry’s pales.
With the Clinton experience at the WH bedrooms , I can figure it out what is going to happen.

Since McCain’s wife has come up, and the question raised about Obama’s brothers and sisters, U got to thinking about a White House with McCain and Cindy.

Would this be the first time a First Lady was a wealthy trollop and drug addict?  And a President who abandoned his wife and family to run around with a trollop? and a President who showed “poor judgement” in the Keating 5 Savings and Loan meltdown, bearly went to the pen,m and had to make restitution?  And who allegedly is mentally ill per the previous President? Talk about sleeze.

Who knows who would be staying in the WH bedrooms.

doright, I was one of the first, if not the first, poster here when this forum went live back in January or February of this year. If the regular readers don’t know who I am by now, they never will.

Attacking me does no good because I’m not running for president. Attacking Obama DOES GOOD because each time McCain-Palin come out with an attack ad, their poll numbers drop. So by all means, keep up the mud slinging - we have plenty of soap and water.

The latest reports have Sarah Palin diverting from the McCain message because she sees the handwriting on the wall and wants to show the Base she can “be tough”.

John McCain cannot even control his VP pick. How would he control the nation?

Mr Williams,

It wasn’t over my head you just revealed yourself to the readers.

“So why was it OK to attack the wife of a candidate about her prescription drug addiction, but not question Senator Obama’s admitted use of cocaine”

doright, I don’t control your keyboard. Type away all you want and ask the question. If I were in your shoes and thought it had any bearing on the election, I sure would not overlook it.

The fact is though, all the polls show each time McCain-Palin go negative, their numbers drop.

Voters want to talk about issues such as the economy and restoring the American image in the world’s view - not about who went to whose birthday party or what someone did as a teenager - or better yet as an 8 year old.

I am not here to write balanced editorials for the newspaper, I’m here to support my candidate and hopefully get him elected.

Are you asking me to argue my position and then defend yours at the same time? Actually, that might be fun…

This thread is on its way to proving Ms. Kahn’s point exactly.

“do you happen to know how many half brothers and sisters Senator Obama has”

doright, I was hoping by attacking McCain’s wife, you would see how silly you looked attacking Obama’s father. But .. over your head I see.
