Ms. Touchet’s commentary “Look beyond the lies, vote Barrack Obama,” provides interesting observations. Ms. Touchet is right on the mark in her assessments of lies, facts, mud-slinging and the like,
but well off the mark in blaming the Swift Boat guys and the Rove attack machine for most of the problems in the media. I’m sorry Ms. Touchet; I like others have seen through the “smoke and mirrors.”
When one seeks the most important job in the WORLD, character becomes an important issue. Any person who would attend a church for over 20 years, the same church where he was married and his
children were baptized, and proclaim the pastor as his mentor, praise him, liken him to his grandmother and then the following week “throw him under the bus” for political expediency, needs to be
examined carefully. In all my years on the face of this earth I have met pastors, priests, and rabbis and even met a few atheists and agnostics, none of whom EVER blasphemed their own country. Have
you?
Barry’s association with Bill Ayers, from the former Weather Underground, who instigated the riots at the 1968 Democratic National Convention and in 1970, was quoted as saying “Kill all the rich people.
Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents, that’s where it’s really at.” Now I ask you Ms. Touchet if Barry was your son, is that that the kind of friendship that you
would want for your son to have and one that you would take pride in? I think not.
Barry is short on experience, about three years in the Senate and NO military experience. “Packaged” by his campaign manager, David Axelrod (to his credit, GREAT job of marketing), long on rhetoric
with a “tainted” background too boot. I think the American people are smart, well versed and will read through “the smoke and mirrors.” In fairness to “Barry” and his campaign staff, they were to have
produced a 40-page document refuting some or all of the information I outlined above. Haven’t seen that document and if what I say isn’t the case, I will stand corrected.

Ray,
I’m oh so sorry for pointing out that the name john also means toilet. I admit to forgetting your definition of John. Lots of politicians need a good whore.

Cobra, the likes of you and Mr. Poillucci here spout talking points all day and yet you ask me not to respond in kind. At least I don’t sink to your level of using cheap, borderline racist appeals to anti-Muslim fears by bringing up Sen. Obama’s middle name. Speaking of which, phdee, your bit on Sen. McCain’s name does not help. Nor does insulting a person’s father, no matter how much we dislike the vitriol he posts. Let’s try not to sink to their level please.

phdee, you’re being a little hard on Mr. McSame by calling him a toilet seat - despite the BS that comes out of his mouth. No, John McCain is more aligned with “john”, someone that frequents the “working girls”. In fact, John McCain chose to marry his high-priced lady friend, dumping his wife and family in the process. Just another example of Republican Family Values I guess. This also reflects on the morals of his supporters that choose to ‘turn the other cheek’.

pdee you are pathetic. Everybody recognize the courage and patriotism of McCain, I would like to see you in that situation. About the mental condition of McCain just listen to him, and listen the Messiah Barak Hussein Obama , probably Barak make more mistakes , he add more states to the Union ,now thanks to him he have 57 states. <Republican aim in politics is to smear and to cut other down to the size of their candidates> Do you think that Americans are so stupid to vote for a candidate just because he bring the slogan “Change” . Thanks to Hillary we know more about Obama , and a lot of Hillary supporters are going to vote for McCain. If you want to talk about racist in the Republican party, what about Senator (D)Robert “Ku Klux Klan” Byrd, a former recruiter for the BSB of West Virginia. In a letter to Mississippi Senator Bilbo in 1947, Senator Byrd wrote “never submit to fight beneath the banner [the American flag] with a Negro by my side. Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.“ It not nice?.

Phdeebag,
Proud of you for starting off a sentence with out using the passing gas line. I mean seriously. You start out most of your articles with a childish statement about passing gas. Yes pop did a miserable job raising me and my three siblings. Me with a Masters Degree. One sister is who is the head Trauma Nurse at Fairfax Hospital, One Sister who retired at 45 from running her own IT business durning the 80’s and 90’s and a younger brother who is the Vice President of the BB&T;investment division in North Carolina. Yes Pop did a terrible job. The one thing he taught us was to beware of Traitors such as you. His words sure are ringing true these days with all you anti-American kooks in the area. Again I invite you to introduce yourself at the board meetings. Let see who the real coward is you idiot. Man Saint Elizabeths is allowing you too much computer time phdeebag. I’ll be at the City of Manassas meeting also. Come on down and spew your hate of Americans to this crowd and lets see how long you last. You’ll go back home with a foot in your rear end. The requests to have Ron spell BHO’s middle name came as a result of his correction of the spelling of his first name by Vic. Just trying to keep the record straight phdeebag. And phdeebag, I’m not a Doctor so I can’t tell you if McCain is mentally ill. I’ll leave that up to all the smart liberals. And while you’re at it, you have not answered my question as to how I dodged the Military in 1979 when it was an all volunteer force? I signed up for selective service when I turned 18 as required by law. If drafted I would not run to Canada such as many Liberals did.

“MCain, by the way, is no war hero. What did he do. Lots of soldiers have been captured in wartime. That’s all McCain did. “
You should probably read a little about McCain’s time as a POW. In particular, he was offered early release by the Vietnamese because they knew his father was an Admiral. McCain refused to leave until all of his fellow prisoners were released. This comes after several years of torture in prison.
John McCain is most definitely a war hero. Personally I consider just about every soldier who served in Vietnam a hero, but that’s just me.
Obviously I have no intention of voting for McCain this November, but I will not sit quietly while people question his military service. I would not have him treated the way the soul-less slime on the right wing treated John Kerry in ‘04.
Let’s all be better than that.

Cobra,
I am a Vietnam Era vet - the actual war was winding down when I turned 17 and was able to enlist. I am old enough to remember what was happening to our country during that era. Over the years, especially during my early years of active duty, I had many shipmates who had been in-country Vietnam in one form or the other.
There came a time, after knowing and working with these people, that I made a decision that I would never, ever, criticize or even think to condemn the actions of anyone who had actually served in that war, either during their active duty service, or what they did afterwards.
I will not criticize the actions of people who were facing involuntary conscription, knowing full well it was only the poorer people not able to scam college or medical deferments (see: Dick Cheney, Rush Limbaugh), or plush assignments in the Air National Guard (see: G.W. Bush) to avoid being sent into a meat grinder. I also will not criticize the actions of people doing whatever they could to end the draft and end the slaughter of our people and the Vietnamese.
As your father was actually in-country, he has that right which I do not give to myself. You, as someone who never came closer to a uniform than visiting a recruiting office, also do not have the right to criticize the actions of actual veterans or people who (successfully) ended that war.
I’ll respect your dad’s opinion on Vietnam veterans, not yours. You’re a big boy now; stop hiding behind your dad.

Cobra, why are you concered whether BHO’s middle name can be spelled? What is the relevance, and why is this a requirement for office? Oh, I know,,,you are one of PWC’s foremost Republican racists. Let’s see anti-immigration also. Advocate for white supremacy. Pro miscegenationist. ETC ETC. What a terrible job your military father did in raising you.—By the way, “john” also is defined as a toilet. Isn’t it ironic that toilet is the Republican’s candidate’s first name.

Cobra, you (and other Repubs) have never answered my question: is it true MCain is or was mentally ill, as alleged by the Bush campaigners when MCaine andn bush were both running for President?
MCain, by the way, is no war hero. What did he do. Lots of soldiers have been captured in wartime. That’s all McCain did. Where is the “heroism” in this? Just a “war casualty” or statistic.
As for the Swift boat boysx, the Republican aim in politics is to smear and to cut other down to the size of their candidates - like “nothing” boy Bush. Once cut down, then all supposedly are equal. That’s what conservative Repubs have: nothing.
Since you didn’t serve in the military, why do you think you are qualified to speak on military service. Stophiding behind your dad’s coat tails, you coward.
