As Chairman of the Board of Supervisors for the past four years of one of the biggest counties in the United States, Fairfax’s own Gerry Connolly can truly bring about the real change that Americans are
looking for.
As Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Gerry has shown time and again that he can take charge of difficult issues and produce results.
No matter who occupies the White House next year, it is imperative that we have members of Congress that will use this branch of government to its fullest potential. I believe Gerry can do this.
Connolly has been a strong leader for Fairfax County; investing in public schools, improving test scores, keeping the crime rate low, and he was able to preserve the county’s AAA bond rating. Gerry has
proven he can produce results. Congress is in desperate need of a leader like Gerry who can move Congress to take on other issues that affect our great country; such as the war in Iraq, the economy
and energy.
As our country moves forward from the disastrous failures of the Bush Administration, we look toward people who can bring about real change in our government. I believe Gerry Connolly is one of these
people and that is why I am voting for him on Nov. 4.

So we blast Gerry Connolly for diminished quality of of life issues but praise George W. Bush and his sidekick, John McCain for their utter failures these past eight years?
You must have two pairs of glasses. One cracked and the other Rose colored.

“real change” does NOT endorse Gerry. In fact, I withhold my endorsement because I believe he is BAD for the region. I resent any written works that imply any tie between me, “real change” and some goofy, career politician who has never worked a real job.

Under Gerry Connolly’s leadership, the quality of life has substantially diminished, crime is up, degradation of neighborhoods is on the increase, the schools are overcrowded, and traffic has increased from the campaign donations he received from the Lerner Corporation in the Tysons Corner area. Otherwise, I think he is doing a great job for the citizens of Fairfax County
