I was very surprised to see side by side articles in the July 24 issue of this paper criticizing Mr. Stewart. The editorial page and Mr. Merli’s column both were complaining about the illegals in Prince
William County being treated, as uh, illegals (aka law breakers).
I resent Mr. Merli stating that local political types appeal to the most ignorant and basest of human instincts in order to reap points.
Mr. Merli states that these are sad days for PWC (I disagree), and he said that is what elections are for.
I wholeheartedly agree about the election part. I wish that Mr. Corey Stewart were not our Chairman of the PWC Board. I would be much happier if Mr. Stewart were sitting in the governor’s mansion in
Richmond. Mr. Stewart would be much more productive serving as our governor instead of that “do nothing” Kaine who talks mindlessly and appoints numerous committees because he has no practical
solutions of his own to present.
Mr. Stewart has done wonders in cleaning up PWC so he has the leadership and ability to clean up the rest of Virginia. If he runs for governor of Virginia, he has my vote.

Kgotthardt,
Just stay behind your little gated community up there in Gainesville and leave us the hell alone. Quit your crying. Your candidate lost the election and now all we hear is sour grapes from the likes of you and the other entire criminal apologist who post here. Start your own group Kate and call it help save illegal aliens. You have that right just as those that belong to HSM. Again, that’s all you libs have is name calling. The illegal immigrants are leaving and single families are now moving back into PW County. You and all the other freak libs on this site make me sick. Can’t wait until November when the empty suit is sent packing back to Ill. I will again have to endure months of crying from the libs. When Repubs loose elections we just move on. But not you libs. You just keep crying year after year. It all started in 2000 with that looser Al ($3200 a month electric bill) Gore. Man I bet your dryer is full of towels with tears. Oh and I work with one of your neighbors. Would you like to know what they think of you?

“And once they realize the futility of countering your position, they resort to namecalling and labeling. It’s the Liberal’s way. “
So true, Advocator. So true.
Just look at the high road example of John McCain. He hasn’t run a negative ad in what? At least the last two minutes?
Yep, its only us liberals out here slinging mud. You’ve really nailed it.
btw I’m really curious what “points” you think Carson has made? He basically wrote a letter just saying that he likes Corey Stewart, but doesn’t really give any specific reason. To what “points” are you referring exactly?
me: I love the Redskins!
Advocator: Good point, my man.
me: ????

Long-term residents who think Corey Stewart is a savior forget he (Stewart) hasn’t lived here very long and seems to be using PWC as a pawn for his political career. In doing so, he and his “Vice” (a member of the ever-charming group, HSM) pushed their issues and this community to its max. Stewart has done more to damage to this county in under a year than some Congressman do in an entire term.

Good points, Carson. Note that those opposing yours (and Mr. Stewart’s) positions can only caricature your writing, instead of taking issue with your assertions. And once they realize the futility of countering your position, they resort to namecalling and labeling. It’s the Liberal’s way.

Does “wonders” mean “disastrous and/or embarrassing”? If so, then I completely agree with Carson Rouse. Corey Stewart has done wonders.
I hope he resigns his position tomorrow and starts his run for governor immediatly. I will even donate to his campaign.
Go Corey! Please!
