Once again, Corey Stewart falsely claims ownership of a program started by another by stating the “Home Help Program” is another “First-In-The-Nation” proposal by the Prince William Board of County
Supervisors.

No, it isn’t, and it’s not even close. He again hopes readers (i.e. voters) don’t know the facts behind the story so he can claim credit. Mr. Stewart knows full well Fairfax County has already initiated its
own program.

As Mr. Stewart previously asserted, he knows which laws are constitutional and which are criminal, he knows PWC could not propose this program without prior enabling legislation by the General
Assembly. So do I, and I’m not a lawyer. I serve on the Budget Committee of a current supervisor and at a meeting on April 21, I proposed a similar program to that supervisor along with several other
suggestions for a local “Economic Stimulus Package.”

No, I am not claiming ownership of this program. My point is the opportunity for the program was already “there.” One just had to know that fact. This program is nowhere near a “first-in-the-nation.”

Kudos to Mr. Gray for coming out about this in spite of his committee position!  I used to think anyone who spoke out against Mr. Stewart’s actions and/or claims would be fired immediately.  Stewart likes to censor citizens and ask other supervisors to change their votes, so you can imagine why I held this assumption.

Can you explain more about the “Home Help Program”?
