Those of us that vote in the 11th Congressional District have the opportunity this year to help elect the type of leaders that this country desperately needs. With the economy in turmoil, a mismanaged
and misdirected war against terrorism, basic civil liberties threatened and political partisanship at a level unseen in decades, America needs a fundamental change in direction and new, stronger
leadership in Congress and the White House.
For Congressman, Gerry Connolly is the obvious choice. Gerry Connolly has an outstanding record as a public official. As both a member and chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, he
has successfully worked to create a strong economy in Northern Virginia, to provide a world-class school system and to protect the environment. His history is one of sound, progressive leadership,
concentrating on solutions to real problems while never falling into the trap where ideology takes precedence over honest public service.
For Senator, Mark Warner is the obvious choice. His record of success in private industry and as governor shows that he knows how to solve problems and get results. He is proficient at getting people to
work together toward agreed, common goals, even when their political philosophies and perspectives of government differ. He has high ethical values and a strong, progressive view of what it means to
serve in public office. He believes that responsibility and accountability go hand-in-hand with elected office.
For president and vice president, Barack Obama and Joe Biden are the obvious choices. They are extremely intelligent and exceptionally knowledgeable about both international and domestic affairs.
They will solve the economic crisis, restore America’s standing in the world, provide fiscal responsibility, and bring the nation together.
At the federal level, we need real change. We need to correct and strengthen the country’s economy, end the war in Iraq, develop and implement a new energy policy, make quality health care available to
all, improve education and protect the rights of all our citizens. Obama, Biden, Warner, and Connolly are by far the best candidates to support and bring about these needed changes.

The only change Connolly will bring is his corrupt behavior to the United States Congress if elected.
