Democrats in the House have come up with a solution for our future energy. This energy bill, HR 6899, is in honor of the hypocrisy that brought this Congress to the lowest level of approval in history under
the lead of Nancy Pelosi.

The so-called energy bill “allows” oil companies to drill offshore. This bill creates a new additional tax to oil companies depending on the amount of oil or natural gas extracted.

The revenue obtained with these taxes is to promote clean energy; I agree on that. However, this bill does not mention nuclear energy, a major world source of energy.

This bill is in honor to the hypocrisy, because this bill does not set any kind of limit to environmentalist groups to sue the oil companies. They can, for any reason, sue oil companies and stop any
intention to drill.

At the end, no oil not a single drop is going to come out from this bill. The price of oil will keep going up and foreign dependence will continue.

Do we need more Democrats in Congress? No. Vote for Fimian.

No solution to real problems, Democrats in congress still don’t get it, Speaker Nancy Pelosi wants to play politics instead to work for the American people, she is more worry about to sell her book, that nobody wants to buy, than work for a real solution to the energy crisis. This bill proposed for Democrats has more pork that the bridge to nowhere. Not only that, Republicans are not allowed to introduce any amendment to this Bill or introduce their own Bill, this is what Democrats call democracy.
