The lead story in your Aug. 30 edition was a sorry excuse for news. The entire article was nothing but a free political ad. It is not “news” to quote local Republican officials’ positive opinions of their party’s choice for vice president.
What is next? Maybe you will offer us a “scoop” that barbers think people need haircuts.
Now if a GOP official had said that the candidate was unqualified or that the choice was an attempt at pandering to women voters, then that might have been news and worthy of publication.
If Potomac News had solicited views of average citizens at the mall, then those opinions might have value.

Headline News: Republicans speak highly of local Republican candidate.
In other news: Water is wet, the sun rose in the east, and the Pope is Catholic.

Palin has a TON of experience. She attended five colleges in six years to get her bachelor’s degree. How many did stupid Obama attend? One?
Probably some uppity, elite school school too that only lets smartie pants in.
Vote Palin! She has been to more schools than the other three candidates combined. That’s experience we can count on.

Gov. Palin, the Vice –President Republican candidate has more executive experienceand better judgement than the Community Organizer actual Democrat Presidential candidate Barack Obama. The CNN reporter Anderson Cooper ,after Gov Palin speech ,try defend Obama saying that he has executive experience because he is in charge of his political campaign.”
That is an impresive record for a candidate to be the President of the US.. What a jerk.

Tom, the news-factor was in the ability for local Republicans to put on their game face and, with their stomachs churning, pretend someone with 18 months of experience was qualified to be one heartbeat away from Commander in Chief. In fact, this is straight out of a Made for TV drama, called - you guesses it - Commander in Chief. I don’t think it lasted a full season.
