Does Obama have a chance in Virginia?

I found your editorial, “A fighting chance for Obama in Virginia?” quite interesting. As one who grew up in Long Island, New York, my experience has been just the opposite.
New York typically votes liberal Democrat, has two political parties terrified of the public employee unions, especially the teacher unions, and is in dire financial straits as a result.
These facts played a major role causing four of my seven children, and now my wife and I, to decide to move to Virginia, a state we view as more conservative, both fiscally and socially.
Obama sends his own child to a private school, but refuses to support school choice for other less wealthy parents.
Obama had the most liberal voting record in the U.S. Senate for 2007, according to the respected National Journal. He is a pro-abortion extremist.
His views on government spending and taxes greatly trouble me, as do his views on dealing with the current energy crisis and foreign terrorism. Osama might support Obama, but not me.

“He is basically pro-infanticide!! If that isn’t extremist liberal, I don’t know what is!! “
If you aren’t extremely hyperbolic, I don’t know who is.

his kook moved to Va. becxause he is a racist, anti-union, and believes govt shpuld functiopn without taxes. Vsa. is a “righ to work” (for less) state - one of abject poverty were it not for a socialist govt eating off the local, state, fed., and military economies. —Seven kids? Need to seek family planning. Your breeding program is killing us taxpayers.

Mr. Russo has gotten it right.... Obama absolutely represents the “limited views of extremist special interest groups” He even voted against the “Infant’s Born Alive Protection Act” which even Ted Kennedy voted for. He is basically pro-infanticide!! If that isn’t extremist liberal, I don’t know what is!!

McCain is a moderate, but that Barrack Hussein Obama guy is a nut on the issues (economic, political, and social).
McCain is an American hero, and Obama didn’t even grow up in our country. I guess he’s technically american since he was born in Hawaii before he left for the radical muslim school in Indonesia. He would be the first black president, but he would also be the first non-American president of the United States.

Maybe you could build a fence around Manassas and apply for statehood.

Mr. Russo;
Nice play on the Republican meme of “Osama / Obama.” Unfortunately for you, Senator McCain, and the few dead-enders still supporting lame-duck President Bush, our hand-picked Iraqi President has now come out and publicly endorsed Senator Obama’s troop withdrawal plans.
It’s a given that invading Iraq was the best terrorist recruiting tool Osama bin Laden could ever have hoped for. Knowing that Sen. Obama wants to pull our troops out and Sen. McCain wants to keep us there for 100 years, I would think that Osama is endorsing Sen. McCain for president, not Sen. Obama.

Fortunately for Mr. Russo the moving vans await to carry him to the next greener pasture. Texas is nice this time of year. Crawford has residents that may share his views.
Virginia will have two Democratic senators and will help to elect a Democratic president. Elections reflect the will of the majority, not the limited views of extremist special interest groups.
