A letter in your Sunday paper titled “Writer is worried for United States” offered several detailed suppositions basically accusing Barack Obama of being a Middle Eastern international terrorist!
I can only assume that by printing this letter that the News & Messenger attaches some degree of validity to these disturbing accusations. Do you?
If so, doesn’t journalistic honesty demand an explanation? If not, then don’t all your readers deserve an apology!

Real change: I’m sure the Repub hatemongers have thoroughly checked Obama’s background and qualifications. Keep in mind that the US is not the fascist BOCS in PWC, where everyone is suspect and has to show documents. And make no mistake, I am referring to Repub fasscists Stewart, Stirrup, May, Nohe, and Caddigan - the Catholic sinners and hatemongers, with their ethnic cleansing resolution.

So, ask, where was he born and how do you know that? Has anyone ever seen the actual true BC for BHO, or nly a non-certified photocopy?

What you call copy and paste is part of my research , is part of the homework you and the media don’t want to do about the Messiah. I am still waiting for the birth certificate that Obama have to show, some people believe he born in Kenya. Is my right as citizen to know who is the real Obama and how his relationship can affects the outcome of an event if he is elected. For instance , I can understand why he oppose to the war against a Muslim country like Iraq, or why he will have conversations with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad without pre conditions. In a case of a war between Israel and an Islamic country , who is going to support Barack Obama? It is a legitimate question. Some of the answers are in base of his associations , the ones that he has things in common. Like his pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Mr. Obama’s esteemed pastor for 20 years, came out of a Nation background, recently he accepted protection from an NoI security detail, and has praised Louis Farrakhan, the NoI’s leader, as one of the “giants of the African American religious experience.“ Rev. Wright’s church celebrated Minister Farrakhan for his having “truly epitomized greatness.“ The unknown Barack Obama is like a Pandora’s Box.

pwanon, you really take all this way to seriously.
But since you bring it up, Senator Obama is not a communist, he is a Democrat. He is not a Socialist - that would be President Bush and his government takeover of free enterprise.
As I said before, your anger with Obama is that he in not Pro-Life. That is fine. I’m happy you are so emotional about an issue important to you.
But the world does not revolve around pwanon. In America, we get to vote for a president every four years. For eight years, many people hated President Clinton - why, I don’t know.
Then for the past eight years, many other people hated President Bush - why, well, I have my reasons.
So this election I will vote for Barack Obama and I assume you will vote for John McCain.
Instead of channeling your anger at me, you should - as I’ve stated in the past - work to get your guy elected.
Send money (the clothing budget has gone up I hear), make signs, write LTEs supporting McCain, volunteer to make phone calls, work the headquarters or work a voting station on election day.
I have also said before not one vote is going to change based on postings on these pages. It seems pretty clear everyone is passionate about their choice.
I don’t know why you get mad at me when I really don’t attack you. Yes, I know I’m good with digs and phrasing things that envoke anger, but hey, you have two typing fingers, use them in a constructive way.
Get up early, scan the headlines and write something clever. I hate to give away trade secrets, but by posting first, I can have some control over the direction of the discussion.
I am always amazed at the anger shown toward other posters. If someone is out in left field - why on earth do you continue to debate them? You might notice there are people here I NEVER respond to, as they are simply too looney to hold a debate with.
At the end of the day this is all a game - at least to me. I support my guy, hone my arguements on the campaign for when discussing with real people and best of all, get to take jabs at Bush-McCain supporters.
Take a chill-pill. November 4th is coming and we’ll all have to live with whatever the result is.
America is a great country and will survive Barack Obama or John McCain.

First of all, smart guy…I have never even hinted that BHO is a Muslim. He’s a communist. Or, at least, da*n near one, and the two are mutually exclusive.
Secondly, let’s take a quick think as to why Al Qaeda would “endorse” (which is ridiculous enough on its own) a particular candidate.
I think Al Qaeda is shrewd enough to know that if they endorse a particular candidate, it frames said candidate in a bad light.
If they hope to frame anyone in a bad light, it would be McCain…because they’re well aware that he understands our struggle with Islamic extremism, and therefore understands that in this fight (for our lives…literally) we kill them, or they kill us.
They know that they would be able to operate with the same impunity with which Bill Clinton allowed them to operate throughout the 1990’s, should BHO get elected.
Furthermore…you happen to be politically aligned with a ranting, raving, barely attached-to-reality poster named Phdee. Do I attribute his/her comments to you? Nope. I attack yours for what they’re worth…which as we know, isn’t much.
Point being…don’t attribute anyone else’s to me.

And rain3fly, you’ll learn VERY quickly the subject of the LTE has very little to what is actually posted in anyone’s response.
The News & Messenger should just provide a blank letter each day labeled McCain - Obama so we can have our little squirt gun battles with each other.

pwanon, I only need point you back to GSU’s post with another lame attempt to tie Obama - oh the horrors - to Muslims.
(pssss .. I hear George W. Bush claims to be a Christian and he is close friends with John McCain - tell all your friends to run, run, run away from those bad men)

“Beyond that…you’re actually naive enough to take an “endorsement” from Al Qaeda as having any value whatsoever?“
Come on pwanon, you’ve been trying to tie Senator Obama to Al Qaeda for months now.
You attempt to make “sly” references to, hum, perhaps, gee, we don’t know if he is “Muslim” or not and oh, don’t forget his MIDDLE NAME is Hussein so he must be a terrorist…. While cute and humorous, it was to no avail.
I even see Republican bumper stickers with a “terrorist” endorsing Obama. You people really play the fear card don’t you?
And then today, the real Al Qaeda comes out and supports John McCain as the candidate that best plays into their plan and you go all soft on us.
Go ahead and call a spade and spade and acknowledge America has been attacked twice under the Bush Administration watch. Once by bin Laden on Sept 11th and then again bit by bit by George W. Bush until our economy imploded.
Al Qaeda is smart enough to understand that if John McCain supports George Bush 95% of the time, McCain is their best bet to continue their financial attacks on the American economic system.
As I’ve said before, it is your vote to cast as you wish. If you want to vote for a terrorist supporter, then cast your ballot for John McCain.
Hopefully, saner Americans will vote for a real leader and elect Barack H. Obama as our next president.
Oh, and if you want specifics on how Obama plans to lead our country, please visit his web site for details.
I do know the McCain Plan is More of the Same.

You are ALL a bunch of MORONS! The original point of this discussion was supposed to be about the newspaper not checking on false accusations picked off the internet and disguised as a “letter to the editor.“ Instead, you MORONS start taking cheap shots at the candidates and at each other and you forget the original point. And you might notice that Godsaveus just cut and pasted from the internet and passed it off to you MORONS as an answer! IDIOTS! The point, here, is honesty.

It never fails to amaze me that inbred halfwits like Godsaveus and pwanon are able to uncover these vast, terrorist conspiracies, yet the FBI and Secret Service have somehow let that nefarious Obama slip through the cracks.
Delusional.
