Don’t champion the rights of the illegal

Take for instance the opinion of Laura Perez. Ms. Perez thinks the county’s budget shortfalls are due to the crack down on illegal immigration.
They always like to conclude that the immigration system is broken, thus people have a right to come here illegally. Immigration to the United States is not based on luck. The Hispanic community feels that if people are lucky enough to land in the United States by circumventing the law, they should be allowed to stay.
They love to use the word fairness, but how fair is it for those who have to wait in line for years to come to the U.S.? I can tell you first-hand that the City of Manassas lost many of its tax-paying professionals, who moved to Culpeper and Winchester to get away from the mess created by illegal immigration. They were tired of seeing multiple families moving into their neighborhoods to create worker dorms. They were tired of reading about the gang violence that had proliferated in the area.
They were tired of going to Manassas Mall and seeing all the gang bangers in white t-shirts hanging around. And how about Mr. Freddy Lopez who lived in my neighborhood? He was recently convicted of immigration fraud for helping illegal immigrants with defrauding the federal government.
He was a legal immigrant who was given the chance for the American dream only to become a criminal. You can not deny the recent numbers that were released by the Prince William County Police Department. Over 400 criminal aliens in our county have been deported or are waiting deportation. In the past, they would have been re-released into our community.
I’m sure the open borders crowd will find some way to spin that story.

If you don’t want to be called “racists” then quit including racist remarks in your arguments. “We’re sick of these gangbangers in their white t-shirts.“ C’mon man! Your argument against illegal immigration might be completely on point, but this stuff just makes you look like you don’t want people who look, dress and speak differently than you do living in your neighborhood.

Of course they will, do they not always have some skewed spin on things? It is ridiculous that no matter what fact is thrown at them, they will turn it into some foolhardy story of racism or inequality. Here is an idea- come to this country legally and assimilate, or stay in your own if you are so proud of it that you find it necessary to fly your flag in our faces. It perplexes me greatly how they come to the reasoning that their actions are acceptable, much less justifiable.

Gee, so many areas to respond to I don’t know where to start. First, moving to Winchester and Culpeper did nothing to avoid Hispanics. Second, find a better neighborhood if you must. No Hispanics live in my ‘hood, worker dorms or not. Three, I guess you don’t like the African American rappers or white skin heads either. Embrace those that are different, you might learn something. Four, most legal immigrants oppose illegal immigrants. Sort of the old Not In My Backyard thing where once your house is built, you don’t want others to build behind you.Immigration is the same. I’m here now, you go back!
