Senator Jim Webb made “economic fairness” an important principle of his campaign. True to his word, he followed through for working Americans with his new GI Bill.

Tens of thousands will benefit directly while hundreds of thousands will indirectly. It will boost the economy for generations to come. We will be more competent, creative and competitive as a result. It
was the right thing to do!

To follow up with other right and progressive ideas to help America’s work force, Jim Webb needs more like-minded legislators in the Senate and House.  Make no mistake about it, Mark Warner, who as
governor brought Virginia back to economic well being after Gilmore’s fiscal train wreck, will be a key and vital player for America’s workers in the Senate.

Northern Virginians have an opportunity to change policies adverse to American workers by electing Gerry Connolly, Judy Feder and Bill Day to Congress.  They understand the needs of local
governments to upgrade and improve the skills and well being of workers in a globalizing world.  Northern Virginians can not afford to allow the clearly failed policies of the Bush administration to continue
in the next Congress.

More Bush neo-conservatism in Congress is not good for working Virginians. Electing strategic thinkers and doers like Webb such as Warner, Connolly, Feder and Day to Congress will be Virginia’s
greatest contribution to a stronger, smarter and safer America.

Unfortunately, Senator Webb has forgotten about another significant portion of the population he represents, and that is the non-military type.

Senator Webb has proven to be a one-issue politician.
