Elected treasurer still valid in MP

I would like to thank my fellow citizens of Manassas Park who voted to keep our elected treasurer. 

The first City Council who wrote our charter created this as an elected position for a valid reason that still holds true — to make this position answerable to the citizens of the city of Manassas Park, not
to the council.

I would also like send the current and future City Council members a suggestion:

The next time you want to change our form of government, spend your own money hiring people to solicit signatures, not mine. If you can’t manage to find enough people to volunteer to carry petitions,
maybe this says something about the validity of your proposal. 

In the meantime, I would start looking for a citizen with the right qualifications and who has the desire to live through an election process to fill this position

I believe that those who oppose your agenda will certainly be doing so.
