I did not understand your reasoning for discounting Mr. Peter Farrell’s business experience over Mr. Keith Miller’s.
Here are the facts
1. Mr. Peter Farrell is a visionary businessman, who has transformed a piece of land into an attractive retail center on which the Texaco Gas Station and PFS Properties is located.
2. PFS Properties and Peter Farrell Supercars is host to many businesses including the Enterprise Car Rental Center, a travel agency and grocery store and Mr. Keith Miller’s FPR Catering.
3. In the current economic situation when many car dealerships are struggling, including the American automotive icons (GM, Ford, Chrysler and the dealership across the street has closed its doors.),
Peter Farrell Supercars is expanding its business. The Conditional Use Permit (CUP) was related to that expansion and has been resolved.
4. The News & Messenger is wrongly insinuating that the CUP was a motive in Mr. Farrell seeking elected office. Mr. Farrell only wants Manassas Park to prosper. He should be applauded for being
willing to take time from his growing business endeavors and lending his business savvy to our struggling city.
Mr. Peter Farrell is genuinely interested in providing his business expertise to attract more businesses to the City of Manassas Park, which the city desperately needs. The News & Messenger should
support such individuals, instead of questioning their intentions.
