Fact checking and Jeff Frederick

I loved the editorial by the editors regarding fact checking before allowing any letter to be printed. False!

If they would just read their own paper it would show they don’t check facts. Example, Kaine swings and misses — 98 times, written by Delegate Jeff Frederick. That legislation was never brought to the
floor for vote because the Republicans were going to vote it down and use any and all pro votes against those legislators.  In the same paper, on the same page is a long opinion deriding Gov. Kaine’s
want for R&D on alternative fuels.

I find it amazing the State of Colorado is doing just that and are finding benefits to generating 10 percent (soon to be 20 percent) electricity through wind. As well they are taking two coal-fired plants off
line thus reducing pollution, not to mention reducing the production of mercury (a toxic by-product of burning coal). Frankly, I can’t tell which is more full of hot air, the editorial staff of this paper or Jeff
Frederick.

The intelligent people will listen to all arguments and make an informed decision, not the hasty, fear-mongered, knee-jerk, reactionary decision the Republicans are hoping for. Come November we voters
need to remember why NOTHING has been done regarding transportation in over a decade. Who has been our legislative majority during this time?

Why are we sitting in traffic congestion no matter where we go in this region? We had an economic boom and we couldn’t find a dime to upgrade our highways. Now they use the excuse of the budget
shortfalls. Hmmm, that tells me a lot!

“JVA the spin master of PW County.“

Yeah this coming from the guy who posts anything he hears from any Internet chain letter and thinks Hannity is a fair and balanced source of news.  hah.

I love how Cobra is so happy that he’s not seeing many vans with ladders on the roads these days.  Most intelligent people realize this means there isn’t much construction going on and the economy sucks.  For cobra it means less Mexicans in Manassas.  yee haw!  Pass the skoal!

cobra, just remember the Republicians spent 50 million tax dollars to determine the cost of drycleaning a blue dress - money that could have been spent on road improvements or border security. To jump off the “hate wagon”, this country needs Mark Warner as president.

“Do you really think anything will be different if the Dems. get in?For years they did nothing for roads and added more heavy density in buildings. “

Yeah, the mixing bowl just built itself.

Mr. Whiting,
If you don’t like the traffic in the area then please support the illegal immigration resolution in PW County. It has resulted in the removal of criminals any many others who are not authorized to be in the country much less on route 28 south in the morning preventing me from getting to work. It is so much better now that I don’t have to follow 150 white vans with 100 ladders on top of them in and out of Manassas each morning. Traffic has been an issue in this area for decades. Neither the left nor the right has come up with a solution. And if you think it’s bad now, just wait until 2042 when the population reaches close to 400 million which is a result of uncontrolled immigration. LA County coming to the east coasts my man. And good old JVA agrees with every left wing nut who posts here. No surprise there. JVA the spin master of PW County. Don’t even try the angle with Republicans being obstructionist? We all know which is the party of NO. No Drilling, No Nuclear Power, wipe you butt with one piece of toilet paper. Good old Libs.

Do you really think anything will be different if the Dems. get in?For years they did nothing for roads and added more heavy density in buildings. They love to build and they love to spend.
So don’t get your hopes up.

Eh.  Like you, I thought Jeff Frederick’s letter was a crock.  Lots of distortions and half truths.

Not the kind of stuff that the Potomac News editors should be responsible for clarifying though.  Mr. Whiting has done a good job of that.
