Thanks to the generosity of Rolling Thunder and of the Lake Ridge/Dale City/Manassas communities as well as a Special Education Class at Forest Park High School, Fox’s Pizza Den was able to send
almost 200 camouflage Christmas stockings to service members in several camps in Iraq.  The cash donations were used to supply our wounded warriors at Walter Reed Army Medical Center with Giant,
Safeway and Dunkin’ Donuts gift cards for themselves and for their families who sometimes arrive for a short visit but unexpectedly stay for months.  Shampoo, conditioner and other toiletries, flipflops,
tennis balls (for the legs of walkers) were purchased to build up the Red Cross supplies. Also purchased and delivered was physical therapy equipment that had been unavailable in Camp Taji, Iraq.  With
your help, the Chaplain in Camp Taji was supplied with another coffee pot, coffee and all the “fixins,” including cups, creamer, spoons, stirrers, sugar, sweetener and flavorings for the coffee bar.

The overwhelming success of “Stocking for Soldiers” is indicative of this community’s love and respect for our flag and for everyone who stands up to defend it. Already several people have volunteered to
start making stockings for Christmas, 2008. Stockings will be at Fox’s Pizza Den for a donation of $5 after November 8. They can be filled with goodies and returned to Fox’s for free mailing to soldiers
overseas, or filled and mailed by you to your loved one who is spending the holiday in harm’s way.

Thanks again to all the wonderful, generous, warm hearted folks who participated in this endeavor and made it a huge success.
