There goes Corey Stewart again, hogging the publicity spotlight, this time for the Home Help Program.
He forgot to mention the task- force members who came up with the idea when he said, “This is another first-in-the-nation proposal developed by Prince William County and an example of good
government at its best.” It was the astute members of the task force who tailored this wonderful program for Prince William.
Corey should have pointed out that in May 2008, Gerald Connolly (D), chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, proposed using county money to buy foreclosed properties and selling them at
below-market prices to working families.
It was simply the latest of a number of efforts by local governments to boost the number of affordable homes. Read Kristen Mack’s Washington Post Article of Monday, May 19.
Corey’s letter to the editor appears to be another effort to bask in reflected glory. It is déjà vu of his taking credit for the low crime rate.
Read ‘Our Opinion’ of the Potomac News, July 6, which noted Prince William’s crime rate has generally been in decline between 2003 to 2007 and credit for that belongs to the Prince William County
Police Department.

Westoff and Gray must belong to the same family. They have nothing good to say about anyone that doesn’t agree with them.
They are so perfect,you know?
Helping the working family has been around a long time. There has been help programs for teachers, police officers on the books for years.
Were they used alot?Did it meet the needs of the lowly paid public servants?
Let’s be Americans and see the good in people instead of constantly berating.

Mr. Westoff you need to get over the fact that Corey Stewart is the Cahirmen of the Board of Supervisors. Even your campaign donation to the failed campaign race for County Chairmen by Sharon Pandak did not help.
Be thank full thank you live in a community where citizens like yourself, can sit on PWC Board Committees and bash the Chairmen in the press at the same time.
Lets see if other BOCS members are as fair in this regard.
