My husband and I had the honor to help campaign and work the polls for Kermit Dance. We have known Mr. Dance for over twenty years as a neighbor, friend and a mentor to our children as he worked as an assistant principle at Osbourn City High School. He is certainly the most qualified new member of the board with over 30 years of experience in teaching, administration and many other areas in education.
While we worked the poll at Hayden Elementary we had the pleasure of getting to know Sheryl Bass who had much to say and I know I learned a lot from her. One of the things we found out together was that Art Bushnell, Scott Albrecht and Ed Pratt were running on a “TICKET” together. I verified this when I spoke to Mr. Bushnell and Mr. Pratt when they stopped by the polling station.
NEWSFLASH — this is not a presidential election when candidates run on tickets to support each other. The School Board should be made up of individuals with diverse ideas and experiences. That way they come together and discuss and learn from each other before making very important decisions that affect our children.
I am extremely disappointed that these three gentlemen feel they need to band together and steamroll their opinions at school board meetings. Learn to stand on your own two feet (not six) and speak for yourselves fellas. Take a lesson from Kermit Dance and Sheryl Bass.

Now it would be nice if Mr. Dance removed his sign from Route 28 near the Rite Aid ....
