Legal status nonsense from the supervisors

Recently, I received a letter from the Prince William County Real Estate Assessment Division saying I must provide “Proof of Legal Presence” in the United States, if I want to continue qualifying for the
Tax Relief Program for “Elderly and Disabled Persons.”
This letter is another waste of county funds, because, there is no start or ending dates for bringing the documents requested “IN PERSON” to one of the three places mentioned, thereby, causing hardship
on many elderly and disabled residents. Does this open-ended dating schedule mean we have forever to do this?
What is this nonsense? Has our BOCS stooped to another low and insisted that everyone in this county prove they are legal residents?
Well, I for one say NO! I refuse to stick my head in the sand and follow blindly on every foolish idea our board members come up with, especially, just to prove I’m legal. Come and arrest me so I can sue
for discriminating against a legal resident.
This power trip our BOCS is on resulting from a ridiculous resolution to try and halt illegal immigration into our county is a farce. Now to avoid possible litigation everyone may soon need to prove their
legal status.
I say let us force our supervisors into proving they are legal residents first, then go on to every county government worker from Christopher E. Martino, Director of Finance to the County Executive Craig
Gerhart, before any citizens are asked to prove their legal status. This information should then be posted in the newspapers because “we” citizens wouldn’t want our county officials in violation of our
newfound legal status requirements.
I suggest before you send letters to PWC citizens that you not only prove they are illegal but perhaps you might consider a timeframe in which they may fulfill your request. Better yet, maybe you
shouldn’t be so quick to make laws without considering all of the legal ramifications first.

Furthermore Mrs. Gotthardt although i was born in the South <Virginia> my ancestry is from the North and from Europe. Phdee trully is racist despite his assertions. I don’t know why you would support most of his viewpoints as crazy as they are unless you weren’t. If you don’t support legal immigration even though you claim you do just come out and say it. I can understand people trying to make a better living for themselves but at the expense of others that’s just plain wrong and ghoulish. Show some compassion for legal immigrants and native citizens. Can i assume you or your ancestors were illegal or legal? If illegal i could care less about your viewpoints other than going to jail or deportation. My ancestors were legal thank you very much. Is it my fault that lots of individuals got in over their heads with ARM’s and phony reporting of their salaries in order to get these loans to pay for living above their means. I say no. Why are foreclosures still rising elsewhere if that is the case? Why are home sales still higher in PWC if nobody wants to live there? Shouldn’t people be running away from PWC if all your assertions were true. Maybe if you stopped living in the past. I will give you i was wrong about the percentage of slave owners in the South. It was actually 15% i do apologize for that figure that i thought was only 1-2%. I will never apologize to Phdee because i knew he was a racist no matter who he supports. I was not raised that way and in no way have ever supported racism and i don’t support criminals either <illegal aliens, murderers, rapists, etc.>. LOL Chris Cummings

Home sales are up because the foreclosure rate is screaming high, Chris. Furthermore, would-be landlords and investors are scooping up these homes so they can rent them out. Looks like we’re about to be living in Feudalism again….Land Barons and Serfs, per usual.
If HSM wants to take credit for THAT, have at it.

That really was an unnecessary cartoon. HSM has made Manassas a safer and happier place for people to live. Why do you think home sales are up??? LOL Chris Cummings

Incidentally, HSM is the same group complaining on BVBL (supported on Anti because I don’t go to the “dark screen) that someone was registering Hispanics to vote. Kind of says something about their sensitivities, eh?

No one is shown slaying anyone on kgotthardt’s website. I am looking at the political cartoon as we speak. Furthermore, Manassas is a city, not a human being.

If you are referring to the political cartoon that refers to Help Save Manassas as “Help Slay Manassas,“ I believe you are missing the point: HSM has destroyed the economy and social stability of our area. Their leaders are questionable at best, never mind that they refer to themselves as foot soldiers touting guns.
If political cartoons offend you, I would suggest you stop reading newspapers and blogs.
Incidentally, I wish I had the talent this artist does. I’d have a field day with the political antics this county pulls.

The BOCS have always known who kgotthardt is. Why did you say that? Why do you make fun of people with ADHD? Did you also used to make fun of people missing limbs? who were retarded? who had had polio? That sure doesn’t sound like very ‘do the right thing’ behavior to me. My mother taught me that doing those kinds of things was unforgivable.
