The Rove attack machine and the Swift Boat guys are at it again!  Never before have so many lies been propagated by a candidate in an effort to defeat his opponent.  John McCain, who can’t get anyone
to notice him, is setting a new record for slime in his campaign against Barack Obama.

I have been inundated with emails purporting to tell me all the “facts” about Barack Obama. In most cases, they aren’t facts, but fabrications and distortions of the truth. People can go to
http://www.snopes.com to research the truthfulness of anything they receive online.

And watching McCain’s TV ads makes me realize that the truth means nothing to these folks just so long as they portray Obama in a poor light. Notice that McCain’s latest TV ad mocks Obama’s
charisma and popularity — his biggest crime seems to be that he is well liked. It then proceeds to bold-faced lies about Obama’s positions on the issues, while failing to tell us anything about McCain’s
positions, except for his declaration that he “approved this message.” If he feels this is the way to win elections, I hope and pray the American electorate will have the wisdom and decency to prove him
wrong.

I have reason to believe that voters will reject this smear campaign. For one thing, the last time people fell for this type of campaigning, they ended up with George W. Bush, judged to be the worst
president in the history of this nation. And second, I know from personal experience it isn’t working. My neighbor, a lifelong Republican, recently told me he plans to vote for Obama in November. He is fed
up with dirty politics, thinks McCain is too old and believes that Mr. Obama is a highly intelligent and skilled candidate who will make an excellent president. People who take the time to see beyond the
distortions and lies will come to the same conclusion and vote for Barack Obama in November.

“but it is scientific proved that older people have better judgments than younger “

Where do you come up with this nonsense?  Please show us all where it is scientifically proven that a 72 year old person has better “judgement” than someone in their 40s?

How would one even measure “judgement” scientifically?  That’s like trying to measure “good taste”.

Republicans and science just don’t mix.

It is a shame that had John McCain stayed on message he would receive support from many independents and consertative Democrats. Human nature being what it is, by being behind in the polls, John has jumped from his own ship and is grasping at a fingerhold on the Bush Band Wagon in desperation. Almost painful to watch a good man sink so low.

Obama has engaged in the same mud sligging.  While Obama rejects being associated with racist Pastors, rappers, and terrorist, he loves to associate John McCain to President Bush, as if they are one and the same.

Obams is claiming in one of his ads that McCain would give tax breaks to oil companies, as if McCain is only looking out for “big” oil.  Well, the truth is that Mccain’s tax plan would cut Corporate taxes not just for oil companies but for many companies.  Now, why would Obama lie?

McCain might be too old for you if you want him for husband , but it is scientific proved that older people have better judgments than younger , Obama is younger but ,not only that he has no record that prove he will be a good president, his judgments about his church, his pastor ,his friends ( Rezco ,the leader terrorist William Ayers),  his judgment about foreign policy when he said he will bomb Pakistan in the search of Osama Bin Laden, but Pakistan is one of the allies of US against terrorism, his ignorance about energy consumption equalizing the amount we can save checking the tire pressure and doing tune-ups with the oil produced drilling offshore, and the list goes on and on. Probably for liberals his pro abortion record , gun control, redistribution of wealth, increase of taxes to provide more welfare, nice talk and the slogan “change“ is enough credential to elect the President of the United States . We ask for more when we hire $ 35,000 executive for an small company.

“I have reason to believe that voters will reject this smear campaign.“

Really?  What reason is that?

Smears and attack ads have been proven effective over and over again.  Voters should get ready for a nasty fall election season.

For someone purporting to set right the “smears” leveled at BHO from the McCain campaign, your letter is totally devoid of the “facts” you tout as a reason to vote for BHO.

Slightly ironic, no?  But I suppose if your lifelong Republican neighbor is voting for him, your tremendous field research is beyond reproach.  A sample of one…surely that’s scientifically accurate.
