‘Made in America’ should not be a memory

Now we are seeing the baby formula coming out of China with poison. Just like the dog food scare of last year and and the lead in the toys that small children stick in their mouths. How many babies will
die from this formula? How many mothers and fathers will cringe every time they shop for formula? I also heard of medicine from India that is killing people.

What is it going to take to get our government to put such restrictions on the American companies that outsource their labor to other companies that use poisons and lead and ship it on down the line. I
think it is time to open up the steel mills in Pennsylvania and turn them into toy shops and baby formula makers and put Americans back to work.

Remember the days when the tags used to say MADE IN AMERICA WITH PRIDE. Let’s bring them back! If it’s not made in America tell the store manager that your not buying the product until it is
made in America. That decision might just save the life of your child, your pet or yourself. If you can’t get it made in America write, call or e-mail your congressman.

I buy vacuum tubes from China.  They’re pretty good, actually.  So are the ones made in the former Yugoslavia.

Until American’s change their mindset and are willing to look at the big picture, nothing will change.

Most American’s are only concerned with themselves, their pocketbook and their job. They don’t give two hoots if a factory worker in Ohio gets laid off when bluejean production is sent to China. They only care those jeans cost $5 a pair less at Low*Prices.

Until we treat our neighbor’s job as our job, nothing will change.

Until we realize we are all in this together, and I’m willing to pay more for your jeans if you’re willing to pay more for my TV’s, nothing will change.

And thus, of course, nothing will.
