People seem to never get tired of blaming illegal immigrants for their personal lives just because they can’t make ends meet. Being legal to many means you have the right to cry and expect sympathy
from other fellow Americans. You act like an illegal immigrant can go to any place and get a job. Mexicanos sin Fronteras and other activist groups might want your sympathy, but I don’t care for your
sympathy or respect.
Many illegal immigrants wave the American flag in hopes of acceptance, and it’s a shame they will never get that. I for one don’t find a reason to wave a U.S. flag

“let’s not forget the rebirth of good old Southern racism, bigotry, and hate.”
Phdee, if you would only for once be truthful, even with yourself, you’d admit that you....that’s YOU....are the most virulent and bigoted racist on this forum. Is this the best you have? Can’t argue intelligently, so you just scream out obscenities and call everybody you disagree with racist hatemongers? Just for once I’d like to see you post something actually thought provoking, and not just spew your usual poor, downtrodden, self-proclaimed victim, racial baiting BS. Try posting something that adds to the discourse once in a while, and doesn’t just attempt to stir up racial animosities all the time. So sorry you had it so tough growing up in Crackertown, Mississippi; time to grow up, man.

Before you speak ill of the USA, get the facts correct. You have made incorrect statements through being uneducated about the USA. LEGAL USA citizens have the RIGHT to cry and expect sympathy from our fellow Americans. LEGAL citizens have earned this RIGHT. The USA is a Nation of Laws”. What part of “Legal and LAWS” do ILLEGAL mexicans not understand? The LEGAL citizens would be able to make ends meet if the ILLEGAL mexicans didn’t ‘sneak’ across the border ILLEGALLY, do menial work and receive low wages, lower wages than an American will accept. The American employer has no interest in the ILLEGAL worker, except that they work for less wages than Americans, making the American employer wealthy. Americans have worked hard for hundreds of years to make the USA what it is today. The mexicans have no idea what ‘hard work’ is. If mexicans work ‘so hard’, then go back to Mexico and work hard to build your Nation. Mexicans want the ‘easy’ way out so they ‘sneak’ into the USA ILLEGALLY and do agriculture work (harvesting crops) because it requires little effort. If mexicans want to work in the USA, then go through the LEGAL process and become an American. You will NEVER be an American because you stated you believe that YOUR mexican culture and SOME aspects of American culture are the best in the world. Get it correct this time: the best culture in the entire world is AMERICAN. Since you believe your mexican culture is the best in the world, then GO BACK TO MEXICO and quit your crying! What are you doing in the USA, ILLEGALLY anyway? Quit complaining about Americans and GO BACK TO MEXICO or ‘sneak’ to another Nation and take your $3,000 with you. Complain to another Nation about their culture. In your free time after harvesting crops ILLEGALLY in the USA, study American History so the next time you want to ‘cry and complain’ ILLEGALLY about LEGAL Americans, you might know the correct facts. Hundreds of years ago when the USA was becoming a Nation, Mexico had the oportunity to be part of the USA but Mexico chose to fight a war with the USA and become their own Nation. And what’s this about you don’t understand why the LEGAL American citizens continue to attack people that are the first ones to touch our food? What is meant by that statement!!! HHHMMM!! Reminds me of an ongoing health code violation with a fast food establishment in Dale City and the workers just happen to be mexican (legal or illegal? I don’t know yet).

RayWilliams,
Reminds me of a friend of mine with a horse farm in Bealton, her neighbor sold to a developer who had the gall to build a road that dead ended at her property line. One Saturday morning, the new homeowners marched over and had the nerve to ask what she intended to do about the smell of her farm!

Ron,
FISA? If my phone is used once a day, it is most likely not me making the call. If I am calling or answering, I will probably not utter more than 20 words, most of which will be “yes” or “no”.
I have a daughter, with her family, in Japan; working for the Navy. No details of her job ever enter into our e-mails.
Nothing is “free”. You may never pay the price of your words or actions, no one may ever pay, but that doesn’t mean the cost isn’t there.
To stop Italians from expressing themselves would require immobilizing every part of their bodies. I spent a few days there in the mid 1950s, but that’s another story.

Rueben:
Here is a history lesson for you.
Do you know what the American flag stands for? Well the American Flag stands for courage, camaraderie, safety and protection. Also the flag expresses patriotism and love of the country. Did you know that the colors on our flag stand for something? White stands for purity and innocence. Red stands for hardiness and valor. Last but not least, blue stands for vigilance, perseverance and justice. The stars on the American Flag stand for heaven and divine. The stripes mean rays of light emanating from the sun. The flag also stands for something else. The flag stands for hope, beliefs and accomplishments of our nation.
Flags are the most important symbols in the nation. The flag has stood for The 13 stripes stand for the 13 colonies. There also has been a lot of changes in the American flag. Francis Scott Key wrote a poem which is now known as the Star Spangled Banner.
The flag does not tell us that we are perfect. But, the flag tells us we must always strive to be perfect. Normally the flag is displayed only from sunrise to sunset. For special occasions it may be displayed at night. The flag should be raised briskly, lowered slowly and ceremonially. At no time should the flag touch anything beneath. You can not write, draw and no other marks should be on the flag.
You do not deserve to carry an American Flag to wave.

Illegal immigration should be off the table, no matter how hard you cry against it no matter what comments you write against it, no matter how many raids ICE make or how many illegals get deported, this issue is not going to be solved so easy. there are people and politicians that demonized illegal immigration as the #1 problem in this country, well, I think we have enough problems to worry about than illegal immigration, at this time, there are Americans victims of Katrina living in tents because our government is busy chasing illegals, there are American children without helathcare because our money is been used to fund programs in other countries , there are Americans going to bed hungry everyday because our money is been spent helping corrupt governments in Latin America, our infrastructure is falling apart, our generation will not have a decent retirement, and I’m going to worry about illegals? you all can continue grabbing each other’s hair and biting each other, but reality is, that is not going to change the illegal
immigration problem, until we elect officials that are smart enough to solve it in our favor and without hurting our community. we have bigger issues to take care of than counting people at every 7-eleven.

Ruben—
Go back to your own country and tell us how much sympathy or respect you get there.
Sympathy and respect are earned qualities—awarded by others—and based in large part on how you behave toward your friends and assoicates. Based on the tone of your letter, I suspect you’ve done little or nothing thus far in my country to merit either our sympathy or respect. Rather, you’ve only earned our contempt and disrespect for you, your attitudes and behaviors.

It is ery true that illegal immigrants have been used as scapegoats for locals ills, and let’s not forget the rebirth of good old Southern racism, bigotry, and hate.

Willow703,
Considering the FISA vote two days ago, in which 24 Democrats joined with all Republicans in stripping our 4th amendment rights and allowing the US government to spy at will on anyone and everyone; we aren’t so free to openly express our opinion anymore. As far as comparing us to other nations; I lived three years in Italy, and never noticed any indications that Italians were in anyway restrained from expressing themselves.
In other words; we don’t have a monopoly on free speech. And in consideration of the number of people and number of times just in these forums I’ve been accused of being a traitor for writing what I think, I don’t see that many Americans appreciate what little free speech we have left, anyway.
Quite frankly, considering “T Dawg” is way too typical of the level of discourse Conservatives have dragged this country down to now-a-days; I’m almost not sure “free speech” is even worth the effort.

Mr. Pineda . Los Estados Unidos tienen frontera. If you come to my house jumping the fence , leaving a mess in your way and you demand , to be part of the party sorry, you don’t have my sympathy and do not expect be sited in my table with all my guest . If you want something from me, come to the front door. We make a mistake leaving the back door open; you utilize our system for your illegal activities, and abuse our generosity, but if you want more from us come here legal. No invitation, no party. Comprende?
