People seem to never get tired of blaming illegal immigrants for their personal lives just because they can’t make ends meet. Being legal to many means you have the right to cry and expect sympathy
from other fellow Americans. You act like an illegal immigrant can go to any place and get a job. Mexicanos sin Fronteras and other activist groups might want your sympathy, but I don’t care for your
sympathy or respect.
Many illegal immigrants wave the American flag in hopes of acceptance, and it’s a shame they will never get that. I for one don’t find a reason to wave a U.S. flag

Ruben,
Go back to your own country and make living conditions more tolerable for your people.

Oh please. “Scorn American law”? “Your own graft ridden country”? Whatever happened to civil discourse in this country?

Ruben, no matter how long you are in this country illegally, no matter if some dhimwit politician waves his or her magic wand to declare you suddenly legal, you will never be accepted. You scorn American law, you do nothing in your own graft ridden country to build it up, you whine that Americans blame you for their personal problems (now tha’s a good one, first time I heard that hahahahaha). I see no reason to ever accept you or to associate with you because of your actions. Guess what? Its no sweat off my back to see you arrested when you commit crimes, deported when you are found to be illegal/undocumented, or forced to leave an area because of law enforcement crackdowns. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
The only way to truly be accepted is to follow immigration laws and enter this country legally. Once you are here follow Federal, State, and local laws. Then and only then, whether you maintain your home citizenship but live and work here with authorized documentation or whether you choose to work for American citizenship, as many of my friends and associates have done, will you truly be accepted.

Ruben,
Reason #1: You are free to openly express your opinion. You can’t do that in some Latin American countries. You can’t do that in France, (ask Brigit Bardot) England, Germany, & many other so-called democratic countries.

First I will say that illegal immigrants should become documented immigrants before asking for acceptance but that’s not really what this letter is about.
Many Americans do look for someone - anyone - to blame when: they buy a home near a racetrack and are shocked when cars actually race, their job doesn’t pay well, their house value is falling, their kid can’t get into college etc. Today’s scapegoat is the illegal immigrant. My fellow Americans, instead of looking for someone or something to blame look in the mirror and ask what YOU can do to fix your situation. There are many of us getting along just fine taking control of our own destiny.
