Obama character assassination

Mr. A. Vic Poillucci is back once again, assassinating the character of Senator Barack Obama. (“Concerned for the United States,” Potomac News, August 26) Poillucci got caught once quoting from
anonymous hate mail on the Internet as his source for “facts” about Obama.
Now he is back spouting garbage he has gleaned from wading in the muck of far-right blogs and trash books written by right-wing character assassins that have been discounted by reputable reviewers for
what they are … libel, gossip and unsubstantiated claims. Senator Obama has answered these lies numerous times. Character assassins, like those Poillucci emulates and parrots, leave their DNA at
the scene of their crimes just as surely as do rapists. Their DNA is in their words and lies.
After bringing up the tired story of Obama’s former pastor Jeremiah Wright, Poillucci turns to an effort to tie Obama to William “Bill” Ayers, a former member of the Weather Underground when Barack
Obama was a NINE-YEAR OLD living in Hawaii! Poillucci could have easily found the TRUTH, but he didn’t try. Gossips and character assassins give no quarter. They are bent on dividing and destroying.
They are not interested in TRUTH! Quoting from the Web site http://www.truthfightsback.com, here is THE TRUTH: “Barack Obama lived in the same area of Chicago as Ayers, and Ayers has been a politically
active member of that community for years. Considering that, it’s actually remarkable how little the two have to do with each other. Early in Barack Obama’s career, he attended one reception in his honor
at Ayers’s house.
They also were separately asked by a charitable organization to serve on that organization’s board. And that’s it. There’s no friendship between the two, no relationship, no history of working together.”
Republican character assassins have manufactured this relationship as a means of attacking their Democratic opponent.
Poillucci says he has NOT read Obama’s 40-page refutation of these and other lies. Instead, he chooses to believe the lies of a discredited author whose research, footnoting, bias and INACCURACY
have been called into serious question by fair-minded reviewers. Sad!

If you examine Sen. Obama’s campaign web page, he does not merely talk about throwing money at “lazy people.“ His campaign talks about investment in career transition programs for adults and community improvement projects, both urban and rural, modeled after the Harlem Children’s Zone initiative, for the next generation of American workers. The problem, in spite of Rush Limbaugh may assume from the comfort of his radio studio chair, the main problem with poverty is not a refusal to work but underemployment. People are working but are stuck in dead-end jobs that leave them unable to fully support their families without government assistance. Sen. Obama is interested in giving people fishing poles. To be fair, Sen. McCain’s site also shows such an aim, although his proposals center more on small businesses than on workers. It seems that both candidates have parts of the solution in mind.

“Man Liberals run the biggest daily Fish Market in the United States while Republicans are trying to get them to go to Walmart to buy a Fishing Pole. “
Yeah, Walmart. Where they can buy a fishing pole made in China from minimum wage workers with no health insurance. Thanks Republicans!

If you want to see shameful politics, just take a short history trip back to BHO’s political tactics to keep people off the ballet in Il. Now there is some shameful politics. Oh sorry, hope I did not offend the anointed one. He is a race card playing manufactured candidate for President. He brings nothing to the table. I know deep down you guys hate this candidate but you hate Republicans worse so I guess they will give out cloths pins during election time so you can hold your nose shut while you vote. But BHO has promised to continue to keep Liberals on Welfare to secure their power. That’s the Liberal party. Just keep pouring money into to programs for lazy Americans who make excuses for their miserable lives. The modern Liberal party is full of do nothings who take no responsibility for their plight. Man Liberals run the biggest daily Fish Market in the United States while Republicans are trying to get them to go to Walmart to buy a Fishing Pole.

“The reason why I won’t vote for Obama or any Dem candidate for President is that they do not hold the same values, views, and outlook for America that I have. “
Sounds like a reasonable way to decide on your vote.
Unfortunately at least every other day in this newspaper some idiot writes in with blatant lies and distortions attacking Senator Obama. There is no honor (or shame) in politics, I guess.

Ask all the questions you want about Sen. Obama, cobra; I do not see anyone stopping you. The only one I see crying is you when anyone dares to question the Gospel According to Cobra. A big boy would be able to take what he dishes out.

UR,
Put Michael Steele on the GOP ticket and you will get plenty of people voting for him. Put JC Watts on the GOP ticket and you will get plenty of people voting for him. The problem with Obama is not the fact he is black or has an unusual name, it is because he is too liberal for many people.
Some on the far left want to guilt people into voting for Obama by claiming if Obama does not win it is only because he is black, well that is none sense.
The reason why I won’t vote for Obama or any Dem candidate for President is that they do not hold the same values, views, and outlook for America that I have.

Cobra, you’re passing more gas. If one checks Mc
cains
senate record, you find that on just about every issues he has flipped and flopped from yea to nay orvice versa. As for qualifications, is VP niminee Palin naked in the wind. Goes to show one does need a skill to hold the VP job. Just read her 17 yr old unmarried daughter, Bistol, is 5 months pregnant. Ah yes, those Republican Family values. Ms. Palin should be staying at home and raising her kids, and she can continue to breed of course. Basketball star, beauty queeen, card carrying NRA member, PTA member, major of a Eskimo town of about 6K, soccer mom, ice hockey mom, hunter, sled driver (On Huskies!!!), less than 2 yrs governon ina state of less than 1 million (mostly Eskimos), Alaska corruption, etc etc—- really makes quite a resume. This goes along with Bush’s allegation that MccCain is mentally ill. A powerful Tepub ticket to say the least.
By the way Cobra, how does being black make Obama qualified vor Presaident. The qualifications are stated in the Constitution, and I don’t recall being black as one of them. Face it: you are a racist. Like a good Repub - trying to bring up the race card or pretending you are not racist. Obviously racism is foremost in your mind.

So what questions can we ask of BHO? Every issue is off limits for BHO. Quit trying to defend a do nothing Senator from Il. He’s a big boy and if he can’t take the heat then go on back to being an average community organizer. Finish up what you started in the slums of Chicago BHO. He is the most media manufactured candidate in history. Oh I’m sorry, hope I did not hurt his feelings. That’s all Libs do is cry. So again Libs, what questions can we ask of the annointed one? HE IS BLACK AND THAT IS THE ONLY QUAL HE BRINGS TO THE TABLE, PERIOD END OF SENTENCE.

No, pwanon, “sad” is someone who criticizes Sen. Obama former association with a controversial pastor while ignoring Sen. McCain’s former acceptance of John Hagee’s endorsement. “Downright pathetic” is someone who posts such a ludicrous fallacy in the age of Google. Sen. Obama actually announced his candidacy on the steps of the Old State Capitol in Springfield, Illinois (http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/chi-070210obama-pearson1-story,0,3768114.story). Unless, of course, Bill Ayers happens to live in the Old State Capitol, in which case I apologize for calling you a lying smear-monger.
