Our leaders and the mess in Iraq

It turns out we went to war in Iraq for no real reason. We have been fighting there for five years. We plan to leave only when the Iraqis stand up. At the same time we bend over backwards to stop neighboring Iran from going nuclear. Our generals tell us that neighborly Iran is supplying weapons to the enemy in Iraq.  Now Iran’s president and Iraq’s prime minister meet in the U.S. defended Green Zone (without flak jackets on) and have a “friendly, positive and full of trust” meeting.  At this point, normal people usually throw up.

Senator John McCain feels so strongly about not losing the Iraq war, he now is willing to stay for 100 years. Conservatives say that was just a figure of speech to show Iraqis his determination. Sane adults call that naïve statement stupid.

Bush Sr could have easily removed Sadaam. he didn’t want to get that deeply involved and thought the Useless UN would monitor things. 13 Broken resolutions were 13 Solid reasons that the UN should have removed Sadaam. Sadaam should also have been removed just for his crimes against humanity. Many people question why we went into Iraq but have left Iran alone. Look on a map and see where Iran is in location to the US and Allied troops that are now around Iran. The Democratic leaders like to pretend they are against our involvement in the middle east but the voted for it then and have chosen not to use their power to pull out now. I wonder if Mr Westhoff knows that we still have troops stationed in countries all around the world ? Hitler has been gone for 70 yrs but there are still troops in Germany. Naive is forming opinions based on biased news snippets. for those upset about Iraq, they should direct their anger towards the Useless UN.

The least we can do since the surge worked is to support our troops and withdraw quietly over 3 years like we did in Vietnam. Al Qaeda is virtually nonexistent or helpless in Iraq now. Chris Cummings.

Why has the Bush administration completely ignored the ones responsible for the 9/11 attacks in the first place? All of this time, money, and energy should have gone to killing bin Laden, then to conquesting Iraq and Iran. Isn’t 9/11 the reason they went to war in the first place? Oh, right, I nearly forgot… Bush Jr. had a score to settle for his Daddy first. What an idiot.
